Indigo Atlanta Midtown

Atlanta, Georgia

The hotel

There’s something suitably theatrical about Indigo Atlanta Midtown. It could be the vibrant colour scheme and theatre-inspired wall murals in the guestrooms. Or perhaps the red curtains swagged around the drinks in the bar. Or maybe the musical buzz that sweeps around the city and in through the hotel’s doors. Or perhaps it’s just its location, opposite Atlanta’s famous Fox Theatre. Whatever it is, it adds a sense of drama, decadence, and fun to your stay in the arts and entertainments district. It ticks all the traveller boxes, from a 24-hour fitness studio to complimentary WiFi and easy access to bars and restaurants, although the hotel’s unique flair attracts both visitors and locals to its own 683 Midtown Bar and Bistro, where popular Stateside dishes are enjoyed with local brews and handcrafted cocktails.

I booked this hotel as a Spire member as it was close to a meeting I had. That would be the only positive I can give. I attempted to check in on a Monday at 2:12 pm. I was told after waiting 10 minutes that checkin was 3:00 pm. He did not even check to see if 1 room had been cleaned and ready in over 3 hours. I am in the hotel business and I… Read more
I booked this hotel as a Spire member as it was close to a meeting I had. That would be the only positive I can give. I attempted to check in on a Monday at 2:12 pm. I was told after waiting 10 minutes that checkin was 3:00 pm. He did not even check to see if 1 room had been cleaned and ready in over 3 hours. I am in the hotel business and I am certain 1 room was ready if he had looked. They had already approved my card in full for nights charges but wanted to make sure you could not get checked in a minute before guaranteed time. It is a historic hotel and was the first Indigo. It should have never been one. Indigo is to me a boutique hotel with large rooms and great staff. This is chic but not for business. I cannot imagine having more than 1 person in room. Luggage rack is not even big enough for a suitcase I have stayed in NYC rooms that are bigger. The bathroom is a half bath in your house where you have to sit on toilet at an angle to not have your feet hit shower door. This hotel is way overpriced and tiny. I have traveled for over 30 years and this is one, if not the smallest rooms I have ever had. Not worth anywhere near the price for service and room. I would drive before staying here. Read less

My wife and I have stayed here several times over the years. We like the location because it's right across from the Fox Theater and we like to go see shows there without having to drive. The rooms are small, especially the bathrooms, but they are well appointed and the place is kind of chic. Staff is always polite. The gent at the desk was named Delon, and he's a really great guy; very efficient, very friendly and helpful with a great customer service mentality. We normally just take whatever room they give us (which is usually in the back) but this time I asked Delon for a front room facing the Fox and he obliged us (Thanks Delon!). We stayed in room 605 and really liked the view and the room (king bed) seemed a bit bigger than other rooms we have been put it. Bathroom is tiny but shower is large and has great shower heads and water pressure. Bed was very comfortable, slept great. Room was very clean and wifi had great signal. There's a cool bar downstairs and outside seats where you can sit with your cocktail and have a cigar or smoke. Parking is an extra $29 a night which is a complete rip off as you can park across the street for less, and the hotel.prices are pretty high for a 3 star hotel, I'm guessing they're jacking the price up during the holidays due to Wicked and the Nutcracker being at the Fox these months. They do allow pets for a $75 non refundable fees but that's not per pet or per night, that's one fee per stay, so that's cool for pet lovers who bring their pets. Pretty laid back atmosphere. So my review is based on: Location - 5 star Service - 5 star Price - 3 star Parking - 1 star; $29 a night is a ripoff. Amenities/room - 4 star nice touches but rooms are small and bathroom is tiny Overall - 4 star Read less

I find this hotel everything I need and nothing that I don’t. Rooms are small, bathrooms even smaller. However, they are newly renovated and are well designed. Bathrooms barely fit one person, but then again, I am just one. Breakfast is not one of their strengths. I ordered homemade granola and yogurt. I assure you this was not homemade… Read more

Service was haphazard. The good news. Chick fil A is right around the corner. Location is close to a Marta. If you drive, I saved money by parking on the street. The city has an APP so the process is Easy. Read less

Location was great for the Fox theatre, service and politeness of the staff were excellent, the only complaint was the size of the bathroom. It was kind of like using a one in a motor home other than that it was great!

Indigo shares the Georgian Terrace parking garage, and indigo gave us a key to get in and out of garage. The hotel charged $29 per day for the parking. The hotel is very beautifully decorated in its Fox Theatre theme. Our room was lovely. We got the king bed with a city view room. We had a view mostly of the at&t across the street and could also see the Fox Theatre from an angle. The only downside was how tiny the bathroom was. There’s no room to walk around unless you’re in the shower. I wouldn’t like that for a longer stay. The concierge at check in had warned us about it, saying it was due to renovating a 1920s building. The shower was nice and had good water pressure and heat. Overall, a very pleasant stay and would stay again in the future! Read less
