Indigo Atlanta Midtown

Atlanta, Georgia

The hotel

There’s something suitably theatrical about Indigo Atlanta Midtown. It could be the vibrant colour scheme and theatre-inspired wall murals in the guestrooms. Or perhaps the red curtains swagged around the drinks in the bar. Or maybe the musical buzz that sweeps around the city and in through the hotel’s doors. Or perhaps it’s just its location, opposite Atlanta’s famous Fox Theatre. Whatever it is, it adds a sense of drama, decadence, and fun to your stay in the arts and entertainments district. It ticks all the traveller boxes, from a 24-hour fitness studio to complimentary WiFi and easy access to bars and restaurants, although the hotel’s unique flair attracts both visitors and locals to its own 683 Midtown Bar and Bistro, where popular Stateside dishes are enjoyed with local brews and handcrafted cocktails.

This is a very nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Bathrooms are very small and a challenge for two adult women and a teenage girl. Breakfast was excellent and we loved being able to walk to the Fox theater and to dinner.

Cute little boutique hotel in midtown Atlanta. The staff could not be more friendly and upbeat. When you check in they explain they renovated the hotel and kept the history and flavor of the building in tact (ie small rooms and bathroom). You don’t really get it until you see the bathroom a tiny bit bigger than an airline bathroom. If you are… Read more

You don’t really get it until you see the bathroom a tiny bit bigger than an airline bathroom. If you are in any way claustrophobic you will not do well with this. Otherwise room was fine, bed comfortable, coffee maker and bonus a refrigerator. Good little buffet breakfast in the morning. Full bar. Fine for biz travel alone. I would not be able to fit my family in this set up. Read less

Let's start with the positive. Hotel Indigo is a boutique hotel with a modern, comfortable vibe and probably the friendliest and most professional staff you will encounter anywhere. I was in town for business and staying by myself. My room was quite comfortable for me. Not large, but with everything I needed - a good size TV, closet space, a safe,… Read more

I was in town for business and staying by myself. My room was quite comfortable for me. Not large, but with everything I needed - a good size TV, closet space, a safe, coffee maker, desk, etc. The bathroom, though. You know you're in trouble when the staff comment on the size of the bathroom when you check in, explaining that it was a boutique hotel, which meant that the bathroom was quite small. I'm a small person, traveling alone, so that didn't concern me, but I may have gasped out loud when I actually saw it. It was TINY! I often criticize hotels whose bathrooms don't include a makeup mirror. This one didn't require one, because it was impossible to get any distance from the mirror. Truthfully, for me it was fine and I would stay there again, as long as I was traveling by myself. If you are a bigger than average person, though, the bathroom might be a deal breaker, sorry to say. When you book through their website you go to the "reservation center" which claims to have nothing to do with the hotel when your get over charged. You get a receipt when you leave but that not even close to what they charge you and after 9 calls and several emails I am stuck with the higher bill as they both point at the other for the issue.… Read more

You need to choose a closet to put close in or a bathroom bigger that on an airplane, you cant have both. Really not kidding at all. Read less

I booked two point and one reward night my wife who is a musician on a ATL tour. After a gig she returned at 4am to find herself locked out. Room key not working. They had moved her room and (most of) the belongings without any notice. They were stuffed in her suitcase by the front desk. The rest - ALL her underwear ( clean / used) and toiletries left in the shower were missing. No help from the staff since the room was occupied. Only until I called corporate ( all calls to hotel manager went to VM) they got the underwear (nothing from the shower). How would you feel, as a woman if you were left out on the streets of ATL, Then were without underwear/bra and some stranger had access to this? And no help until your man calls corporate? Read less
