The Westin Atlanta Perimeter North

Atlanta, Georgia

The hotel

Lakefront luxury, Westin Atlanta Perimeter North offers refined comforts and unusual extras. We’re talking added touches like athletic shoe and apparel rental, so you don’t have to pack your own. That does mean there’s no excuse for missing a workout at the hotel’s 24-hour fitness studio – or perhaps at the USA’s fourth largest health facility, right next door, with its indoor running track and outdoor tennis courts. The Westin also provides an outdoor saltwater pool, a children’s club, a free shuttle to the Perimeter Mall’s shopping and dining, and Savor Bar + Kitchen, where the food is inspired by the old flavours of the South, and the modern trend back to farm-to-table dining.

Mixed feeling about this hotel. Fabulous and gross on the same stay. We received a room-no Platinum upgrade, but a great room with 2 beds. Shower-perfect; beds-amazing; climate control-perfect. I would not charge extra for the "lake" view. The lake looks like a sewer accident-really unattractive. Connecting door, thin walls and inconsiderately… Read more

I would not charge extra for the "lake" view. The lake looks like a sewer accident-really unattractive. Connecting door, thin walls and inconsiderately noisy neighbour resulted in a request to switch rooms. I asked if upgrade is possible.... $75! Even with status? Eventually, they moved us to a suite. The only fabulous portion of the suite was its size. It was not nearly as clean and nice as a small room...the sleeper sofa was so filthy, that I had covered it with sheets to be able to sit on it. Furniture was dirty, scratched, really unappealing. Unlike the tiny room that had a nice tub, this huge suite had a semi-disgusting shower. Even the climate control that was perfect in room 1, was kind of awful in this upgraded accomodation. I am assuming this floor was not renovated for a long time, as even the carpet in the hallway was extremely warn out. Breakfast was really good. Yagodinka is the nicest employee at this hotel. The area is very smart and secluded from the roads of the Perimeter. Would I stay again? Probably not. Read less

Stayed here for 6 nights in June 2020. Due to COVID, there was no room service, no daily cleaning service, no valet, no dining, no bar, etc. That is all understandable. What I didn’t really understand was the cleanliness and safety around the hotel premise. The parking lot/garage area was always full of random people just hanging out there. One day, there was a pile of poop (wasn’t sure if it was dog poop or human poop) but it stayed by the hotel entrance at least for half the day. Elevator has huge sign that only 2 people should ride the elevator at a time. But people just jumped in and there was no enforcement. All the workers at the hotel wore masks but pretty much all the guests did not wear masks and did not seem to care for social distancing guidelines. This was very different from other Marriott affiliated hotels that I stayed at during COVID. Read less

I should have read the hotel fine print, but they only service rooms every three days. We were required to haul our trash out and try to find a receptacle large enough to dispose of it. The bathrooms lack ventilation fans and it became extremely hot and foggy. The cleaning ladies were so sweet and helpful. Located in a quite, pretty part of… Read more

My stay at this location is always extremely exceptional. I feel incredibly spoiled and attended to here. I’m able to rest assured that I’m going to get top-tier service during every stay with them. They always exceed my expectations and remember my name, likes, all of my personal needs and request without me stating them. Dedo Dixon is exquisitely charming and Annette provides service like no other. Gerald takes excellent care of my car in valet and is always polite. Donald in the concierge lounge went above and beyond with making us comfortable. I had a bit of a wait and the hors d’oeuvres were delightful as well as his conversation. He had such class and his Personality was Positive and made the time pass effortlessly. He made suggestions of things that we could do to pass some time and took care of our luggage while we did so. Donald went above and beyond and made us very comfortable in the guest lounge. Nelson at the bar in Savor Restaurant made the best amaretto sour I’ve tasted in awhile and had great conversation! I stay here often and decided to finally give a review. I recommend this location 100%. Read less

This is a perfectly fine hotel with everything you expect from a middle of the road hotel. Clean room, sort of ok food in a very comfortable club, but it is a terrible location. I was in the downstairs bar/restaurant and there was one of those loud screaming groups of ladies that made it impossible to stay but there is literally no where to go. Nowhere. You need to get in an Uber and drive at least a mile away to get out of this hotel. There are way better situated hotels and I’ll definitely find them in the future. One good note - this place doesn’t gouge your wallet in the restaurant just because you are held prisoner by geography. Read less
