My wife and I stayed here a couple days before Christmas. It was so relaxing to get away without the crowds. The property is very nice. The rooms clean and comfortable. We ate breakfast in the hotel which was very good. I look forward to returning here again.

Booked at the last minute. Customer service was great. The room was better then what the pics showed. I look forward to returning here in the future. If you're looking for a quick romantic time away from the day to day, this is the place to go.

Many visits & always feel welcome & relaxed. The rooms in the main Inn could stand a little “updating” especially the bathrooms. Very quiet & comfortable. Have stayed here many times over the years, always wanting to return.

We both work in the hospitality business and both have worked in historic inns. This has been the most welcoming. Lower key celebration than I had hoped for but decided to stay local. One of my wife's favorite places. We had a booth in the tavern by request (again one of her favorite spots there).Nice ambience with fireplace. Wife had an apple martini, lobster chowder, filet mignon and a hot fudge sundae. She said everything was excellent. I had a bourbon sunrise cocktail (usually a beer drinker but it was excellent). Rolls weren't heated, I like them warm. I got a little adventurous, ordering a Fried Buffalo Cauliflower appetizer that I hadn't previously had. It was okay but probably something I wouldn't order again. Still adventurous, I ordered one of the Chef's Specials, the Grilled Filet Mignon of Colorado Bison with a toasted barley, wheat and spiced apple dinner porridge. I'll add a photo. The bison was tender but the porridge didn't have much taste. Again something I would probably not order again and I couldn't recommend it. Wife had a hot fudge sundae and I had a really good maple bourbon bread pudding. All in all, my wife had an excellent time and that was the goal. Read less
