Our two night stay last week was just wonderful. Upon checking in we were able to change our room to one in the inn itself rather than one one the outside wing. If you like colonial ambiance this is the place for you! We had one dinner and breakfast both mornings. You are given a $15 voucher for breakfast, which made it very affordable.

Nicholas, Kate & I were so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Jen P. & Rob at the Dan’l Webster Inn. Miss. Palazzolo & her team were extremely professional and accommodating to everyone’s needs. I began speaking with Jen a year prior and was completing all planning from Florida. We did one meet & greet in December, and she assured me she was right by my side to help with all the venue details. Jen is very detailed in her work and left no stone unturned; she was always one phone call or email away. I knew I was in good hands when we met. Everyone who works at the Dan’l Webster went above and beyond to help create a wedding with the least amount of stress. We were provided an event coordinator by the name of Rob, who was the man to get the job done. He took over where Jen left off, creating a magical wedding with mine & his ideas combined. He handled the rehearsal & rehearsal dinner, the placement of the decorations, flowers, favors, proper timing of the wedding, & keeping the bride happy. He was attentive, kind, creative, funny, and an all-around hard worker. Rob & Jenn’s professionalism allowed us to enjoy the wedding to the fullest. We received so many compliments about the Dan’l Webster being such a beautiful location & very accommodating for our guests. The staff, which included the front desk, housekeeping, bartenders, waitresses, & maintenance, were all so kind & helpful. We were there for four days in total, and every meal was fantastic. Not one plate went out cold for our wedding, and everyone was impressed with the flavor combinations. We really can’t say enough good things about this inn. For anyone who’s suggesting a Cape Cod wedding, I would highly recommend the Dan’l Webster Inn in Sandwich, MA. Read less

We spent two nights. At first the deluxe room looked better than expected considering the reviews we had read regarding the Inn needing remodeling. The room was clean although the wood doors showed their usage. The carpets in the common areas , specially the restaurant, have to be updated or replaced by a wood or tile floor. On our first evening we arrived at the restaurant (the conservatory) at 8pm. We were served by Justine, she was very pleasant and efficient , food could be warmer but it was delicious. She blamed the kitchen for the food not being warm enough. We had the cod with lobster crust and the scallops, both dinner sizes. Next evening, at 7:15pm we asked at the restaurant front desk, at what time they closed. The manager and a lady besides him (she acted as the property owner!) said it would close at 8:30pm. So we asked if we would be served if we arrived at 8:15pm. She replied at that time we would have to sit at the tavern, not the conservatory. Most of all it was in a rude way. That lady said “we’ve been working for 8 hours already”. We checked the info on the inn website and it said the restaurant closed at 9pm, even at “Open table” there was a reservation available at 8:45pm. We were lodging at the Inn so my wife came back and showed that to the very same lady. She just replied “we changed it just now for 8:30pm”. We decided for going out instead of rushing and begging to be served by them. We went out and had an amazing lobster dinner at the “Fishermen Ville”, which we definitely recommend. Good service, nice view and great food. In regards to the Dan’l Webster Inn , it was a very disappointing and rude service! Not coming back at all! Read less

We stayed here for two nights on our tour of New England. We were given a room in the main hotel which meant carrying 4 cases and two bags up a flight of stairs. The lady on reception offered to help, but she didn't look capable. There should be someone on hand to carry the luggage since there is no lift. Our room was comfortable, but the bathroom was minute with the tiniest loo I've ever seen. Toiletries were not replenished on the second day which surprised us. The cleanliness was average though the heater under the window was thick with dust. The first morning we went for breakfast, we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. What an appalling breakfast it was. They had run out of English Breakfast tea. I ordered the Greek Yoghurt and was horrified to be given a pot of yoghurt such as one buys in the supermarket. I also ordered a banana and was presented with a tiny dish with about half a black and over ripe banana slices. The hotel tried to charge $2.50 for this, although the menu said fruit ordered with cereal was $1. Why charge so much more for it to accompany a plastic pot of yoghurt? My husband had the granola (which apparently is not a cereal) and was also charged $2.50 for blackened banana slices. We had a very long wait for the food to arrive. We spent over an hour in the breakfast room for juice, tea, granola/yoghurt and inedible banana. We didn't bother with breakfast the second day. We ate dinner both nights and the food was nice, though the service was very slow and the server gave the impression of utter boredom. At the end of our stay, once again my husband had to carry all the luggage back downstairs. There was no help offered or given. I am sure there are better places to stay. Read less
