We stayed at this hotel in July 2019.  It is a charming place that takes you back in time. The service provided by all employees was impressive. That is hard to find these days. We stayed at this hotel in July 2019.  It is a charming place that takes you back in time. The service provided by all employees was impressive. That is hard to find these days. They were polite, friendly, and super helpful. The room was impeccable, elegant, and it had beautiful American colonial furniture, but yet, it was remodeled to give you all the current comforts such as flat screen tv's, wifi, and updated bathrooms. The bed was so comfy that we slept so well every night we stayed there. The room had fluffy pillows, and high quality soft sheets. The pool area is gorgeous with beautiful landscaping and flowers everywhere. It reminded us of an English garden with trellis, lights, benches, and bird baths. The charming rooms and grounds are what makes this place special.  We ate breakfast and dinner in their restaurant and the food was excellent. For breakfast we had eggs, potatoes, bacon, and french toast. It was all delicious. The coffee was really good and strong. The bread was so fresh and good that I kept talking about it all day long. For dinner we tried the short ribs, the cod fish, the salads, and a few appetizers. It was all exquisite. For dessert we had the carrot cake and the creme brulé. The desserts were outstanding. Best carrot cake ever. From the restaurant you can see the pond with the fish. It is really pretty. The souvenier shop was full of cute items and it was hard to choose what to buy. I ended up buying tons of cranberry chocolate bars, a few cranberry soaps, and some fancy pottery  mugs. The cranberry chocolate was so good that it was hard to stop eating it. The front of the hotel has a carriage perfect for a photo. There are plenty of places in the grounds to take beautiful pictures of your stay. It was really a special place to stay, very different from all other hotels we have ever stayed. It really transported us back in time and gave us the perfect Cape Cod experience we were looking for. It will probably be a great spot for a wedding or another type of party. This is a well run family owned business and it shows in everything we experienced at this hotel. Thanks to all the staff for making our experience here so special. Read less

The inn is centrally located with a nice restaurant, pool and spa. The restaurant is in a glassed in room that overlooks a fountain which is very charming. The pool is nice sized for families with kids. Our room was big with a large vanity area plus sink separate from the bathroom which also had a sink. There is a nice gift shop in the inn… Read more

Our room was gorgeous and right on the first floor, it was very convenient as the groomsmen used our room for changing quarters. All of the staff from the front desk, to Rob who was our wedding coordinator to the servers for rehearsal and the wedding were outstanding, the food was excellent and plentiful. Just one little blip was the hair and makeup, I would never do that again, it was WAY too expensive and not really anything worth it. Read less

The food is always good and we enjoy sitting at the bar and smoozing with who knows may be visiting. However, I must also say you that a major safety issue in room 19 with the hot water exchange valve that turns scalding hot on its own. The in room carpet seemed to be recently updated but the chairs also need updating as one was stained and both were ripped at the seams. The beds must have been updated since our last visit (2 years ago) but we are not in favor of the memory foam as it was hard on my back leaving me achy in the morning. Guess we are just not a fan! The ceiling lamps could also use an updating and perhaps these items are scheduled in the near future. We did notice the addition of a new deck area which seemed lovely and well done. However, it's very close to the marsh - as the description indicates - but a sure source of bugs and mosquitos - ouch! I also did not see any wait service at the pool nor at the new deck area. Overall we enjoyed our visit but you can use some updates in the future. Thanks Read less

Everything was great from check-in to check-out. From the luxurious king sized bed to the heated floor tiles in the bathroom. My wife and I were married on the grounds a little over a week ago. Things couldn't have been better from the very friendly staff to the fine dining. We'll definitely be returning!
