We were staying at Bay Point in room 339 for 4 nights in October 2019. Here is my experience with my particular room, and some general observations. 1. The room I stayed in was not the room I booked, and it was not in an acceptable condition. When I was booking a room, I was using the hotel's web site selecting a "Deluxe Queen Lakeview Balcony" room, description of which included whirlpool, but before paying the total price shown, I called to inquire for possible discounts. A rep told me there was no discount available, and talked me into booking right there over the phone, the same room the same price I was having in front of me on my computer screen. I explicitly checked with her to make sure she is booking the same type of room, at least 3 times. On my arrival, after checking in, I found out that my room: a) was smaller than pictured on the web site (a large corner of the room was cut out for a side corridor access, there was only one such room on each floor) b) it had no whirlpool c) it had a significant water damage on the ceiling next to the windows. I immediately complained to the receptionist, she was very nice but clueless, and I requested someone more senior to call me. A lady did, but she did not really try to get into the details, she said - that's what you booked, you did not ask for a whirlpool (sic), I am really busy, I will call you back, etc... No actions. Just to add to the picture: the Bay Point was at least half empty, according to the parking lot where only 6-10 cars stayed overnight. 2. General observations: a) hotel: a rather noisy location, on the corner of two very busy streets with a heavy through traffic including dump trucks; b) hotel: front desk in this location is open only part of the day, so with issues you either call the other location (and they are very busy), or walk about 10 min crossing a busy street with 2 slow traffic lights; c) hotel: the parking lot is shared with a very popular restaurant in the same building, so finding a spot between 5pm and 9pm could be a problem; overnight, the parking is practically empty. d) room: very little space to unpack, just 4 very shallow shelves in the entertainment center, and about 10" of rack in the tiny closet. OK if you are staying overnight keeping some of your stuff in your car, but for a longer stay it's a problem. Summary: this hotel has a potential because of the lakefront location, but their customer service is not up to the task - there are so many great alternatives in the area. P.S. Before leaving this feedback, I made multiple attempts to contact the property directly to give them a chance to comment - to no avail. Read less

Was my first time to this property and was looking forward to a relaxing time. It was far from it. My initial stay was at the Bay at Mills Fall's which is part of this property. Upon arriving after a 2 hour drive I was ready to relax. The hotel did not have any front desk staff instead a sign to tell you to call the other location to get your key. I did this and got a person who was not very helpful in telling me where to go and eventually hung up on me with very little information. I ended up going up the street to this location only to be told to go to another location to get my key. Finally got my key after a run around that really was not needed or could have been explained in the email to come to the other location to get your key. Got into room and had a lovely view of the lake. All was well till I returned in the night. Upon entering the room there were about 10-15 spiders in the room on the wall and on the bed. I went into a shoe killing spree but they kept coming. Was not going to sleep well in this room so i packed up and went to the front desk of the other building. Reception apologized and switched me to the premier hotel which is here. Checked in and got a very nice room. Finally thought i was going to get some sleep. I was wrong sadly, at about 3AM the AC unit made this awful banging clanging noise. Upon inspection something was caught in it. I turned it off but the clanging went on for at least an hour from the AC and something above me like a dripping noise. The AC was covered in mold which by the morning had done me in with alergies. The next morning I went to the front desk to let them know the really poor night stay I had. It seemed like they have never had a negative comment for the lady at the desk was befuddled as to why I wanted to see the manager (to whom was not available). I left my number to be called when they were available. I unfortunately missed the call and tried to call back the VM of the manager is super unprofessional no identification if you are calling the place or not just a name and a beep which makes you think you are talking to him till you realize its just the message machine. Def would not come back I sent the manager an email detailing this and have yet to receive any response or call. Really unprofessional. Read less

Our room had a beautiful view of the lake. Our room was decorated in a nautical theme, with a comfortable king size bed and a window seat where we could sit and enjoy the lake view. The location was perfect, it is right in the center of town. We were able to easily walk to every place in town that we wanted to go to.

Not to be missed! Beautiful view of Lake Winnipesaukee. Hotel is so comfortable and clean. Relaxing on balcony off of guest room is wonderful! Restaurants in the area are excellent. Shopping is good too! Good location for exploring other activities in the area.
