Staff was very friendly from curb to desk to housekeeping. Very central location. My son came from airport to hotel by bus in 25 minutes . Bus left him approximately 3 easy blocks away. Saved a bunch of money. Good restaurants within a couple of blocks. Small but clean room with spacious shower. Lots of things in hotel pointing to its history as well as Boston history. Complementary wine was good. Breakfast was typical hotel lobby breakfast which is included in room booking. Parking is valet and at typical big city prices. Would stay again. Read less

This hotel is very charming. Very clean. They have complimentary breakfast, which is your basic stuff like hard boiled eggs, yogurt and pastries. They have a nightly wine down where they offer a complimentary glass of wine. The hotel is very small, but that’s understandable being a historic hotel in the city. Can’t beat the location- local to back… Read more

Can’t beat the location- local to back bay station, prudential mall and the supermarket is across the street. The only drawback is no fridge or microwave in the room and tight quarters to share with two people Read less

We stayed here for one night. We got a great last minute deal and were pleasantly surprised with this place. I had mistakenly selected the following day's date, as opposed to that night, which turned into a big disaster because we'd booked through a third party. That said, the staff did all they could to assist with this issue and even upgraded us to a nicer room for all of the trouble. The room was clean and spacious with city views. The only downside was that there is a nightclub on the ground floor and we could hear the music, even on a higher floor. Still, charming hotel and we would probably stay here again. Read less

The room was quite small, queen for two people, New York City Small, but it was lovely and well appointed. We were quite comfortable, and the room was very quiet I did not hear any hallway or elevator noises. They have a continental breakfast in the morning with the basic pastries, juice, coffee. They aslo have a wine reception in the evening which is a very nice touch. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the stay was quite enjoyable. My only wish was the water in the shower had more pressure and was hotter - but that some major picky on my part. Read less
