Element Boston Seaport District Marriott

Boston, USA

The hotel

A thoroughly modern concept in Boston hotels, Element Boston Seaport states it’s been ‘built green from the ground up’. Its eco-friendly principles don’t get in the way of style or luxuries though. Both come in abundance. The public and private spaces are slick and urban, with all the requisite clean lines, blocky furniture, and muted natural colours you’d expect from a hotel that only opened its doors in 2016. This contemporary styling’s evident in the oversized guestrooms with their full kitchens; the cosy reading nooks; the indoor pool space; and the amenities laid on, including free bicycles for exploring your Seaport surrounds, complimentary WiFi, and a ‘Rise, Restore, Relax’ dining mantra, which translates into a 24-hour gourmet pantry, complimentary breakfasts, and midweek receptions with free drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

I had high hopes for this hotel because my partner only stays at great hotels and he booked this trip for us to see the Celtics vs Miami Heat game. Unfortunately the Celtics didn’t win. I had high hopes for this hotel because my partner only stays at great hotels and he booked this trip for us to see the Celtics vs Miami Heat game. Unfortunately the Celtics didn’t win. But, the Element Seaport is definitely a win for the city of Boston. When we entered we were greeted kindly and checked in very quickly. The interior and exterior is modern and sleek with clean lines. There’s a pool which was the perfect temperature. The breakfast was great and the avocado toast station was a nice touch. The room we stayed in was spacious and pristine. The bed was nice and comfy. The room has a kitchenette and a modern fridge with a freezer which a lot of hotels don’t have. The proximity to the seaport and financial districts was very convenient. As we were checking out, the GM of the hotel asked us how are stay was which was very sweet and encouraged us to come back because the summertime will offer even more amenities like a firepit and live music area. I cannot wait to come back this summer and will definitely be spending my birthday weekend here. Read less

The hotel put me in a 2nd floor room directly over the music venue which pounded music until 1:15 a.m. Front desk wouldn’t move me to another room and said “too bad. Nothing we can do.” Drunk people yelling in the halls. Walls are paper thin. An overpriced 2 star with no parking that housed me above a disco. Stay at your own risk.

This is a nice new hotel across D Street from the convention center. Probably a bit out of the way for people doing downtown things, but great for the convention center. Place has a hip new hotel feel, which I generally like, although the super light duvet thing that's trendy these days isn't really my thing. They probably could have swapped it out for a heavier comforter but I didn't ask since I was just here for a night. Tara at the front desk was very accommodating and was able to get me into a room way before my check-in time. She was also patient with me while I swapped out my ParkHero parking for the parking through the hotel, which was cheaper. Next time I will take advantage of the free bike amenity. That's a nice thing to have available! Read less

I'm a service engineer and travel from shipyard to shipyard. The front desk team are great and friendly, housekeeping is more than perfect and maintenance is there in less than an hour to fix any problem that is turned in to the front desk.
