Element Boston Seaport District Marriott

Boston, USA

The hotel

A thoroughly modern concept in Boston hotels, Element Boston Seaport states it’s been ‘built green from the ground up’. Its eco-friendly principles don’t get in the way of style or luxuries though. Both come in abundance. The public and private spaces are slick and urban, with all the requisite clean lines, blocky furniture, and muted natural colours you’d expect from a hotel that only opened its doors in 2016. This contemporary styling’s evident in the oversized guestrooms with their full kitchens; the cosy reading nooks; the indoor pool space; and the amenities laid on, including free bicycles for exploring your Seaport surrounds, complimentary WiFi, and a ‘Rise, Restore, Relax’ dining mantra, which translates into a 24-hour gourmet pantry, complimentary breakfasts, and midweek receptions with free drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

Amenities

  • Swimming Pool
  • Safety Deposit Box
  • Fitness Centre/Gym

Where is it

A few minutes’ walk from harbour cruise launches and the Blue Hills Pavilion amphitheatre, it’s also 1.1 miles from The Children’s Museum and Boston Tea Party Shops and Museum, 1.6 miles from New England Aquarium and Boston Common, and 1.9 miles from Faneuil Hall and the theatre district. We travel alot throughout the year for pleasure. I found this ELEMENT HOTEL on expedia's website. Its fairly new, its in the up and coming seaport district in Boston. Check in to check out was PHENOMENAL, This was in the middle of the pandemic, so really wasnt sure what to expect. When we walked in we were pleasently surprised how bright and clean it was. We checked in, went up to our room, and room was being worked on by maintenance, i guess just a minor problem. Went back down, and the girl at the desk was so kind, she made a phone call and got the problem solved, her name was CLYNEYA (NANI), SHE WAS SO APOLOGETIC on our issue, she gave us extra points on our marriott rewards card... After getting settled in our new room, about 2 hours later the phone rang, it was her, she wanted to make sure everything was to our liking, she couldnt apologize enough on the mishap, and wanted to know if we needed anything. Throughout our whole stay, whenever we saw her, she was always so pleasent, and made sure we were enjoying our stay. Before checking out, i made sure to inform the manager/general manager how much of an asset to the ELEMENT she was, when I got home, i also called the MARRIOTT NUMBER and spoke to someone about her pleasentness (made up word).....We also encountered another gentleman by the name of WILL, he was also very good .... Very close to Southie! Full kitchen. Clean room! Breakfast is closed. Can go down in morning and get frozen sandwich, yogurt or cereal and bring to your room. Piano bar and outdoor beer garden near by but closed. Will stay again once things open up.

New with modern decor, yet still feels cozy. Why? Because staff is so kind & welcoming! We arrived unexpectedly (in pouring rain) & were here because the other hotel we had booked (NOT this place) had a really strong cleaning smell that triggered my asthma so we had to find a new place. So we arrived at Element wet, with no reservation, & me freaked out about my health. Staff went into the rain to get umbrellas over us: quickly got us out of the wet & helped us dry off suitcases (not saying hotel workers should have to get soaked, but they seemed genuinely to feel bad for my son & they really wanted to help). They also were understanding in letting us inspect room (before booking) longer than normal so I could be super sure no cleaning product smells (there weren't). Room: elegant, very smart design with everything just where you need it, big like an apartment (generous well-appointed kitchenette), very new, ultra clean; looks exactly like website. Good view out window. Beds so comfortable! Bathroom shower good. Hallways secure, clean, very very quiet. Element is very short drive/taxi fare to the airport. We had to check out at 4:30am to catch our flight & staff did great job making sure our taxi was waiting for us. Though the hour was early, front desk employee was energetic & cheerful, offering us warm sincere smile. We are for sure planning on returning to this hotel (we plan to come back several more times!!). Read less

We were even more impressed with the reception we experienced starting at check-in. We appreciated the warmth of Noni C. especially after a long travel day! She went beyond the call of duty to make us feel welcome. The whole staff was quite pleasant throughout our stay including cleaning crew and happy hour hostess. Breakfast was a wow experience with well appointed buffet and a chef onsite to prepare delicious dishes. We haven't visited Boston in many years. The Element Boston Seaport is now among our top choices for our next visit. Read less
