This hotel might be convenient, but it's much more than just a base. Each of the 225 guestrooms combine luxury, comfort and elegance to ensure the most comfortable stay. As well as state-of-the-art facilities, each beautifully renovated guestroom features soft lighting, modern decor and furnishings and decadent Frette bed linen. If you can bear to leave the comfort of your room, why not mingle with the locals and get a feel for the real Boston as you sample some delicious New England fare at the Precinct Kitchen and Bar, or venture out to enjoy a spot of retail therapy at nearby Newbury Street.

However, I would not recommend this hotel due to the fact the rooms are extremely loud at all hours of the day and night due to old, thin windows. I’ve stayed in city hotels before and never had an issue with the noise like I had here. You could literally hear people talking while walking down the street at night and I was on the 9th floor. Also, the heating and cooling system is horrible and loud and made the room either too hot or too cold. Its not like this a cheap hotel, so I expected much more. If you need a good night’s sleep, I would not stay here. Read less

Great stay at the Loews hotel, whilst on business in the Kendall square ecosystem. Good location to access Boston Common, the river, bars etc in back bay, as well as simple to get across to Cambridge. The rooms are very well presented, and the breakfast choices in the precinct bar in the basement were excellent.

This is a great hotel located very close to the Back Bay and the South End. I have stayed here in the past and was impressed - glad to report that this hotel is still awesome! Checkin could not have been easier - front desk pleasant and efficient. The lobby was clean and well attended too as well - nice that there is a bar right downstairs too!… Read more

No hot water. Room was super loud. Facing Berkeley and we was so loud I couldn’t sleep. Staff lied and told me they didn’t have any king beds when I clearly paid extra for one. When pressed they miraculously found a subpar room.

My mom and I were only at this hotel for about 6 hours due to my dad being in a Boston hospital, so we were not able to enjoy all that it had to offer. I can say that the front desk did everything they could to empathize with out situation and make us comfortable. They upgraded our room, kept our car out front so we could hop in and go at a moments notice, gave us extra water, etc. Told me how sorry they were that my dad was sick. They were lovely. The room was gorgeous as one would expect. We will certainly return under happier circumstances. Read less
