We booked this hotel for 2 nights. The air didn’t work. We walked around the room in bare feet and our feet were black. A few good things were it was situated close to Fenway Park and two train lines.

I have stayed here many times over the last few years. Nice little hotel near many attractions and on the T. Great location for symphony hall! Nothing fancy and a bit dated but serves you well. Not all rooms have refrigerators, would be so much nicer if they did. And prices fluctuate wildly. I have watched the rates and many times have cancelled an existing reservation and rebooked, saving over a hundred dollars! You should be guaranteed the best rate, but not so. A positive, parking is included if you have tickets to various events, check the website for details. Overall a good solid lodging in an otherwise pricy city. Read less

Even though this hotel is a 2 star - it had a 3-4 star feel. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. The hotel is clean and rooms good size. There is a nice outdoor pool area if you want to chill. Safe neighbourhood that is close by to everything. We literally walked everywhere and saw all of Boston’s tourist spots. We booked the hotel as part of a package through Virgin Atlantic, so the price for the stay was a bargain. We booked the hotel as part of a package through Virgin Atlantic, so the price for the stay was a bargain. The hotel is in a good location - in between two T stops on the green line, and around the corner from an orange line stop. It's a short walk from the Prudential Center, so shops and restaurants close by. The hotel is quite dated - it looks like a roadside motel has been picked up from the 1990's and dropped in Boston. The whole place does look a bit shabby and tired, and is a bit dark in the corridors, but we found the room to be clean, and of a good size. The website states that rooms have a fridge and microwave combo, but we didn't have this in our room - it didn't matter too much to us, but may be worth mentioning on check-in if you need this! The pool seemed clean, and had a lifeguard on duty when it was open. We weren't ever informed of the opening times, and there are no in-room guides to the hotel, but we usually used this in the afternoon, and as we had a pool-view room (248), we could see when the lifeguard was there. Some points that might be useful if staying here: -There was a safe in our room -There are a lot of vending machines in the hotel - different locations offering different options - all only take card (not great if you're a tourist and don't want C/C charges on a $2 drink!) -Thorntons (take a right out of the hotel, and along on the next block) is great for breakfast and lunch - very popular! -Subway, and a couple of other take-out places are at the end of the block if you take a left out of the front of the hotel. -There is free WiFi in the hotel - we did not find it to be very good Overall, the hotel wasn't bad - the service from the Front Desk was not great (having worked in the industry, and running a Front Desk, I was always trained, and trained others to acknowledge customers coming through the area), but the staff we approached were pleasant enough. I do wonder if this was due to the fact that we phoned down with a noise complaint one evening. I don't know if it would occur regularly, but a group had been allowed to book an evening pool party, which started at around 8.30, and finished just before 10pm. For most, this may not have been an issue, but we had a pool view room, and our 8-year-old daughter with us. We had a day trip booked for the following morning, so had got her into bed just as the party started. At first, there was loud music, a lot of shouting and swearing, and about a dozen grown men cannon-balling into the pool. To the credit of the staff, when we phoned down to Front Desk, they did go and ask to keep the noise down, and there was a reduction in the amount of noise, but it was still pretty loud. The hotel had no available rooms to move us to, so we were stuck with it (which resulted in a tired child the next day!) Had it been mentioned at any point prior, we would have requested a room move - and I do wonder at the sense of booking a pool party at this time, on a Sunday evening, and not informing guests. Luckily, we had no particular issues after this. Read less

Really surprised at how great this hotel. Our family stayed for a short visit and had a wonderful experience. The location is amazing and the pool was fantastic. The room was very large too! We would absolutely recommend.
