We especially liked the soft bed linens, the big feather pillows, the Bose music player, the giant TV, and the quiet AC. A cool innovation is the futuristic bathroom, which glows in blue when you enter at night, so you don't have to turn on the light. We also enjoyed the coffee and egg sandwiches from George Howell. The room was very quiet until 7am, when they started emptying dumpsters on the side street; a courtyard room would have been better for us. But we definitely recommend the Godfrey. Read less

The moment we arrived we were greeted by Arbon. Yes, it’s his job, but he went above and beyond. We were visiting for college tours & soccer camp , but we had never visited Boston so we stayed in the city. We did our homework, and the reviews don’t lie. After several days of traveling, the Godfrey was top notch! When I went to park and felt completely lost, Arbon offered to help. He spoke to my son about soccer & we even spoke about my teacher summer spent visiting schools so my son knows where to go! While we booked incorrectly, Daniel, at the front desk, made sure we had an extra rollaway (grandma met us in Boston for this part of our travels) and any extras we would need. We travel with medication, so the fridge and an ability to store freezer packs is essential. The room was immaculate, and we could not have been more comfortable. Julia, Kristian, and Sarah could not have been more accommodating! When I say that this place has amazing customer service, it is an understatement. This group of people made the Boston stop of our “college tour” the most enjoyable and comfortable. I nicknamed them the A-Team because it all began with Arbon , and even our send off is one that was above and beyond - thank you to all of them! Read less

FIVE STARS + to the Godfrey Hotel AND ‘The A TEAM, Arbon , Julia, Sarah, Kristian and Daniel’! What I though was to be a Mother/Daughter trip, turned into a surprise trip with my grandson joining for soccer camp and tours of colleges. Arbon could not have been more helpful! From making sure that our considerable amount of luggage was quickly transferred to our room, to making sure that my daughter found a safe and great garage for the many day trips we had to make. He also was so helpful to my Grandson with College information and little hints on his soccer playing! We couldn’t have been more grateful! Julia, Sarah and Kristian were always ready with help with any situation that we had. We needed a freezer for medications, we got it! Any extra item or advice, they were there! Ready and willing to help! When I first checked in and found that I was going to have an additional person. Your hotel was completely booked, but Daniel found a larger room and sent a roll-away bed up immediately. I just can’t say enough about your staff! They truly are AMAZING! I have stayed at many hotels. The Godfrey is now on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever! Your Gorgeous Lobby area and amenities offered at no extra charge were fantastic! The rooms are very clean and spacious! That coupled with your impressive staff will have me coming back as well as recommending you to family and friends! Thank You! Read less

We visited for the weekend and had a room on the fifth floor. The room was quite small, with no mini fridge or much in the way of space around the bed. There was a coffee maker, snacks in the room, toiletries. There was a coffee maker, snacks in the room, toiletries. At the desk we were asked if we wanted housekeeping and said no, though ideally the room would've been checked beforehand, as it was a bit dusty. The bathroom counter and the glass-top table in the bedroom area weren't the cleanest. That was the only thing though - the staff were fantastic, the location was great for exploring the city, and we didn't hear much noise from other parts of the hotel. Overall, we would stay there again, though maybe in a different/bigger room. Read less
