The staff was exceptional, greeting us at every step and every day. The double Queen room was spacious and comfortable. Even with the city noise and traffic 3 floors away, it was quiet due to the sound reducing double-paned windows. The roomy bathroom with its high end toiletries and Frette robes and towels were wonderful. Even the shower (with its Kohler shower head fixture) had decent water pressure. The beds were perfect, dressed in super soft Frette bedding ,and provided a restful night of sleep. Our breakfast at the Peregrine, the hotel restaurant, was also amazing. Truly a 5 star quality hotel and the only place we will choose to stay when we're back in Boston. Read less

We stayed at the Whitney this past weekend, and the hotel exceeded all our expectations. The staff was amazing from the front desk to housekeeping. The hotel is so beautiful and clean. My husband and I have rarely traveled during the pandemic due to me being immune comprised...I felt so safe at the hotel. Whatever it is we asked for the staff found a way to make it happen. We brought our dog with us and they left her a bed, treats and a dog bowl in the room. The hotel is on Charles Street which is the cutest shopping area. The park is 3 blocks away. I cannot wait to go back we literally had the best weekend in Boston because of this hotel. Read less

My husband and I traveled to Boston for medical care at MGH in March - we chose The Whitney Hotel because it is directly across the street from the hospital. We a beautiful, clean, delightful hotel. The staff at reception are very helpful and accommodating, providing whatever you need - bottles of water, more pods for the coffee maker, etc. Traveling during Covid was nerve-wracking, and we both felt totally comfortable and at ease at The Whitney. The entire hotel, including our room and bathroom, were absolutely spotless. They've put into place a lot of safety practices to keep all the guests safe. The room was beautiful and bright, and the bed was so comfortable I inquired with the hotel about the mattress after our stay. I loved the products in the bathroom and enjoyed the rain shower. Our view of our room overlooked a quaint courtyard, and it was nice to see people enjoying a drink by the fire pit. We usually stay at the Four Seasons when we travel to Boston (usually a few times a year), but The Whitney will be our new home while in town. Read less

Wow! We booked a weekend getaway at the Whitney in March 2021 and could not have been more pleased with the property, location, and especially hotel service. Ryan and the entire concierge team went above and beyond to arrange a private tour, spa trip, and provide excellent restaurant recommendations. With all the uncertainty of travel during covid, we needed a 'guide' to get us through and the Whitney team did this and then some. The hotel is immaculately clean, nicely decorated and had probably the best hotel bed we've ever slept in. The location cannot be beat - directly across the street from Charles T station making trips over to Cambridge super easy and cheap. There's a 24-hour CVS also across the street for getting drinks, snacks, or extra hand sanitizer these days! We cannot wait to return to this hotel and can't imagine staying anywhere else in Boston. Hats off to Ryan and the entire Whitney team during these challenging times! Read less

We had the pleasure of staying bat the Whitney Hotel for several days. Extreme Covid precautions were greatly appreciated. Sanitizer stations several places. Even the ice in the ice machine drawers on each floor was individually bagged. Great bathroom with ample water pressure and hot water. Huge lighted mirror. Automatic motion sensor lights. VERY comfortable beds and a sofa in the room. Pretty generous TV options. Public area very clean and well appointed but the outstanding feature was the ever-present desk personnel who were over-the-top gracious and helpful. We didn't try the on-site restaurant which looked interesting but my wife is a picky eater. Nice gas fireplace in the lobby evenings and an outdoor firepit as well. The only thing missing is an in-room refrigerator. Just a wonderful stay. Walking distance to Mass Gen and all of Beacon Hill. Read less
