Hyatt Regency Boston Harbour

Boston, USA

The hotel

If you really want to ‘see’ Boston, a stay at Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor delivers all the views you need. Skirting the waterfront, you’ll catch glimpses of Boston’s harbour and skyline at almost every turn. One of the best viewing points is the Harborside Grill’s patio, where you can spend evenings watching the city’s lights flickering on while sipping cocktails – although the restaurant’s huge wall of windows mean dining inside doesn’t disappoint either (and neither does its New England seafood menu). Boston’s silhouette can also be spied from many of the WiFi-enabled guest rooms, the Harborside Lounge, the StayFit™ Gym, and the West Lawn, where yoga often takes place. Mere moments (and a complimentary 24-hour shuttle ride) from the airport, the hotel has a boat dock behind it for harbour cruises and water taxi trips to downtown Boston.

You made our anniversary visit special to us. The harbor view was unforgettable! We ordered room service and marveled at the view before us. The hotel sent us special chocolates to share after our meal. The location can’t be beat because it is right at the Boston Logan Airport. We will be back.

How come everything in life appears to be a compromise: soundproofing against airplane noise? Perfect! Soundproofing against talking neighbors and clicking plus plumbing sounds in the walls? Not so much. A/C? The sound pretty much appears to make up for the lack of the first. Best bet: chill the room prior to sleeping, then turn it off. Install… Read more
How come everything in life appears to be a compromise: soundproofing against airplane noise? Perfect! Soundproofing against talking neighbors and clicking plus plumbing sounds in the walls? Not so much. A/C? The sound pretty much appears to make up for the lack of the first. Best bet: chill the room prior to sleeping, then turn it off. Install white noise app on smartphone and play it all night. This Hyatt is in a fascinating location across the harbor. A bit chilly perhaps in the fall and winter but the view and the better price point easily make up for it. Dinner options seem limited and don’t appear to cater to the organic/farm-to-table crowd like yours truly but the good news is that I came away pleasantly surprised with the execution and attentive service. This is not a brand new hotel hence the awkward presence of a small bath tub and kid sized toilet in my room perhaps. Maintenance appears to take good care of things as everything was in good working order and clean. The bed was very comfortable. On the outside the hotel looks almost like an extended lighthouse which seems a nice design touch coming back across the water on the water taxi which can be arranged from the front desk. It really felt like I was staying away from hustle and bustle from downtown yet still being within easy reach. Read less

Unacceptable old-not-well mantained infrastructure. Definitely not corresponding to the requested 300eur/night room. I will not recommended neither will come back. This is not acceptable for a hotel chain of this cathegory.

Bathroom was terrible and sheets weren’t comfy. Great location and the concierge went above and beyond. Why do i need to write 200 minimum characters to review? I have nothing more to say. I guess you want me to write more bad stuff
