The Onyx is a perfectly fine place to stay, but don‘t let the Hilton name suggest it‘s a typical Hilton. For example, the rooms have no mini fridges nor coffee machines. There is no restaurant and at the moment the small common area in the lobby is being remodeled. Location is about 5-7 minute walk to Green/Orange Line on the T. Fairly close to… Read more

This hotel is ROUGH! They were renovating so I won't comment on the overall appearance but my king deluxe room wasn't being renovated and it was really quite drab. The bed was average at best, the amenities were below average. My title is unfair because a Motel 6 at least would have cups and a coffee maker in the room...

No thanks to either Hilton Honors or the hotel's website, we arrived to a warzone of a hotel. The lobby is completely demolished so the restaurant that was once there is gone. Breakfast included consisted of some yogurt floating in a bowl if water, some ancient looking things posing as pastries, two urns of coffee and some hot water for tea BUT… Read more

Breakfast included consisted of some yogurt floating in a bowl if water, some ancient looking things posing as pastries, two urns of coffee and some hot water for tea BUT NO TEA BAGS... The staff is a bunch of pointless zombies who couldn't care less about the guests and provided no information on any of the hotel amenities...oh wait...that's because THERE AREN'T ANY. Not even the location can save this pile. Sad because we've stayed here before and it was once lovely and had staff that made you feel welcome. No more. We will never be back. Read less

The best way I can describe this hotel is like a black hole. It sucks up any enjoyment or joy you might have anticipated from your stay and leaves you a shell of your former self wondering where it all went wrong. My stay began in the dismal lobby which is under construction and gives you a dreadful first impression of the property as it’s basically a mess of wet paint signs and plastic sheeting illuminated by lighting that’s straight out of an insane asylum. The young man at the front desk needed some serious training in customer service as he completely skipped any kind of greeting or welcome and performed no orientation as to the property’s amenities or acknowledgment of my Hilton status. In fact all the staff I’ve encountered seem pretty miserable and frankly, if this was the environment I had to work in every day I’d be pretty miserable too. The rooms are ok but the bathroom features the most poorly placed makeup mirror I’ve ever seen- right above the toilet with no extension arm to make it possible to use it while standing in front of the sink. The provided soap leaves a gross residue on your hands and there are no coffee or tea supplies in the room. The only thing saving this place from a 1 star review is the location and the fact that despite being in the heart of the north end, it’s actually pretty quiet. There is absolutely no way I’d stay here again unless I had no other choice. Read less

Stayed in 1003. Room was clean. Bigger than NYC rooms. No view. Water pressure nonexistent in shower. Lobby under renovation. Not worth $500 a night although close to the Garden and Mass General. Disappointed as a Hilton Honor member and would never stay here again.
