Stayed here in December and thought it was very centrally located to TD Garden. We walked to TD Garden for a Celtics game. The room was very clean and I liked the funny throw pillows. It is a smaller hotel, but they have valet parking, happy hour drinks and a nice breakfast. I thought the front desk staff had good customer service.

Lovely hotel with great service. The room we had was small but then it is Boston so real estate is a king. We had to print some emails and initially hotel charged us $35 but then after talking to them the charges were reversed. Great breakfast as well. Walking distance to many locations in downtown.

This was our second time staying here, and next time we're in Boston we'll try somewhere else. The staff is all very friendly and the free wine event is nice, BUT the bed was severely uncomfortable (I woke up with pain in my back), and the free wine is bottom of the barrel. It's a great location and valet parking is fast, but the beds will keep me… Read more

If you think that the Kimpton Onyx is up to the usual excellent Kimpton quality, that would be a mistake. $19.99 "amenity fee" which would be OK if there were any (wifi is now a standard everywhere, not an amenity!); very loud HVAC both in the standard rooms and especially in the top floor "premier" rooms, (failure to isolate and attenuate). … Read more

Don't pay extra for breakfast on Sunday - just stale rolls and the like. Old beat up pillows; poorly tuned TV. Only good thing we can say is that the staff is friendly, competent and pleasant as they cope with this substandard facility. Oh, and be sure to enjoy the noisy crowds streaming down the block and into the three bars on that street after a Celtic game. Plenty of other fine Boston hotels to chose from. Read less

Only good thing about this place is the location. I booked 2 double beds for our girls trip. Upon check in we were told they had no more double rooms for us. We were then put in a room with one king bed and a cot, for 4 of us. The room was tiny (the cot couldn’t open all the way). Not only did they give our room that we reserved away, our replacement room was dirty. The bathtub had a disgusting residue at the bottom (look at pictures attached). If we were staying for more than one night we would have found a new place to stay. Very very disappointed in this hotel and was hoping to find our new place to stay for our monthly trips. We will not recommend to anyone in the future. Read less
