Starfish St Lucia Resort

St Lucia, Caribbean

The hotel

The glossy greens of the hills and infinite blues of the sky, sea, and pool are paired with splashes of sunny yellow around the ocean-facing pool at Starfish St Lucia Resort – and the result’s the very picture of a tropical Caribbean escape. It spots everything you'd want from the Caribbean too. Sitting along the the famous Reduit Beach, it's just a stroll from all the fun and buzz of Rodney Bay, with its marina, mall, night clubs, bars and restaurant and from the spa at its sister hotel. Of course, with its all inclusive promise, you might not even leave your beachside base. Dining and drinking stretches from the bountiful buffet to the tantalising Italian ‘ristorante’, daytime beach grill, and swim-up bar. And little guests haven’t been forgotten either, with their Rexplorers kids’ club and babysitting promising them fun while you enjoy a spot of snorkelling or beach cricket.

A mother, daughter trip was great in St. Lucia. The only thing I had to get use to had nothing to do with the hotel; the drive coming into the hotel from UVF Airport was long, the roads were winding and mountainous. The mountainous part is what I had to get use to, but once I arrived the staff was welcoming. The pool is big, with a swim-up bar. I did not have any issues on the beach as some other reviews indicated, with anyone bothering me or my daughter. There is a safe in the room, there are soft drinks and beer in the refrigerator but no hard liquor. The only thing I would add is the cocktails are a bit weak. The hotel was accommodating and at the time arranged a van for guests to the local Friday night event, with outdoor vendors, food , music, that was enjoyable. Would I do this trip again definitely, in a heartbeat. Read less

Two weeks at this hotel. Location was amazing on a safe clean beach. Very close to town. Needs updating but everything clean and works. Patio doors did not lock an the first night we arrived late but a call to reception and we had a new lock fitted within the hour.Fantastic service.

We stayed at the starfish St Lucia for 2 weeks in June and had a great time. We went as a group of 6 and found everyone very friendly especially Crystal on reception, who was brilliant at her job and always had our keys out ready without us ever asking, which we found such a nice touch. Antonius the manager was so friendly he always took the time to talk to all the guests and got to know their names, you often saw him on his usual rounds of the hotel chatting to people. When we went to eat in the restaurant or the grill bar Veronica and Jervany always got us a table for 6 with a friendly smile. The food could be a bit repetitive but was ok we found the breakfast was best in the restaurant and the grill bar was good for lunch. We found all the staff had time to chat including the gardener’s and security people. The bar staff were brilliant thank you to Sheena and Kenneth for keeping our glasses full with a smile. Our room was a bit dated but was kept very clean by Pamela who always had time for a quick morning chat, during the day Nikita worked very hard to get people involved in the poolside games. What the starfish lacks in stars is definitely outdone by the fantastic staff, we would definitely recommend to anyone and if your beach people you can’t go wrong in staying here, yes the hotel is a bit dated but is an absolute gem in the Caribbean!!! From Steve, Carole and 4 others !! PS Steve’s still drinking in the forest Antonius 😊 🍺 Read less

From Nikita on the entertainments team to Kristel on reception and wonderful Cecelia in the Italian, they treated us like friends from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble and we already miss them. Yes it’s not a high end resort but it’s all about family and fun and if you want authentic St Lucia we cannot recommend this place enough. We are already planning our next visit. Rooms are basic but clean and have everything you need. We loved the beach grill. The only room for improvement would be more choice in main restaurant in the evening but after we mentioned it, that improved because the staff are so keen to please. Thank you starfish. We will see you soon. Read less

We just come back from Starfish St.Lucia resort. Overall we had a great experience, however, it is all about expectation. We were ready that this resort is not a premium class. Starfish Resort is an old and small resort, very family-oriented. During our stay, it wasn't many people, except 5 days when four soccer teams stay during there competition. Food was ok but minimal choices; tomatoes, cucumbers or salat you would never see in the morning. Also, fresh vegetables were limited during the week. Ice cream you always need to ask for, it has never been available on buffet tables. Location is perfect, and it makes us forget any other disadvantages. Thank you, Starfish Resort, for your accommodation. Your staff and the entire team make our stay pleasant. Read less
