We were four adults in a regular room and never felt like it was super crowded. I loved the refurbishments! For example the lights inside the closet which is handy because the wood is dark. Loved the sliding door for the bathroom that blocked out noise and light which is convenient when people are still asleep in the early morning or are trying to go to sleep at night. The sand bottom pool was handy when trying to massage your feet from walking the 10+ miles a day! The only issue we encountered was a 1+ wait for a bus to MK on our last day to go to MNSSHP. My fiancé and I were heading to the parks a couple of hours before our friends since they were trying to pack up for our departure the next morning but they only ended up getting to the parks 30 minutes after us since we had to wait for the bus for quite a while. Another issue as a condescending CM when we arrived. We did online check-in and every time I have done that before I have always received a text when my room was ready and never went to the front desk. We had to go to the front desk because a magic band at our party wasn't working properly and we needed just to get it fixed. The lady at the front desk was super condescending and told us good things we came there because with online check-in we never would've gotten a room assignment. Ironically while waiting in line we did receive a text about our room that I didn't see until after we left the front desk but the room number was different than the one she gave us. Just left a bitter taste in our mouth at the beginning of the trip. Always kind of shocks you when a CM is rude. Our last issue was that our phone would ring CONSTANTLY in the middle of the night. We went to the front desk after the first morning and they said they would stop all calls but it continued the rest of the trip even after letting the front desk know each morning. Other than that I will definitely stay here again! Read less

The location is great, walking distance for Epcot and Hollywood studios, although transport if there if you need it. Swimming pool is huge and lots to do. Not quite 5 stars as the walls are a bit thin so can get noisy and we didn't find the restaurants quite as good as some others in Disney.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Yacht club, we have a house in the vicinity, however we wanted to experience New Year's Eve on Disney property and have access to their range of restaurants. The hotel was very comfortable and all the cast members very hospitable, I use a wheelchair and have major underlying health issues so being able to pop back to the hotel for rest and recuperation with ease was not just a luxury but a must, especially as car park queues and their related park gates can be extensive. The room was lovely, although I did struggle a bit with the size of my chair, it's also annoying that most accessible rooms are on the ground floor, so we only had a view of the garden and rear lobby at street level. As the experience was at peak time it was at a premium cost, we added in a luxury meal plan, that said we still spent a small fortune on extras and tips, that would have paid for an average families vacation at another resort, really enjoyed it at the tim, although I would add it's not good value for money Read less

I usually stay at deluxe Disney resorts near the Magic Kingdom, but wanted to try an Epcot resort. The Yacht Club is attached to the Beach Club and share a pool area. The resort is located behind the international gateway entrance of Epcot. The main pool has a large slide that actually starts outside of the pool area, across from the walkway (on a pirate ship). The pool has a sand bottom, and while this was a cool feature, the sand was not as soft as I had hoped, it had crushed shells in it. There is also a deep lazy river and some other play areas. There was also a smaller pool and tennis courts on the other side of Yacht Club. There is a beach on the water and you can rent boats or go on fishing excursions. Our room was on the first floor, I had requested a room near the lobby. We were very close to the quick service restaurant/gift shop combo. Compared to other resort quick service restaurants, it did not seem to offer as much, but it was ok. I did not eat at the table service restaurant, but I had room service and it was delicious. There was also a quick service at the pool area, but I did not eat there. Transportation includes boats, buses and now the skyliner. The boats take you to various resorts, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The buses take you to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs. The buses come to Yacht Club before Beach Club, so if it’s a crowded day, you’re more likely to get a seat from the Yacht Club stop. It seems that Beach Club has a reputation for being more child friendly, so it seemed more crowded to me. If I were to go back and choose between the two, I would still go with Yacht Club because of this. You can also walk to Epcot easily, and with a little more effort, you can walk to Hollywood Studios (there is a walkway on the Boardwalk side that goes to HS). I would definitely recommend Yacht Club if you’re interested in a deluxe stay at Disney. It felt a little more laid back than the deluxe resorts at Magic Kingdom. It was also nice to have quick access to two parks. Read less

I have 2 children ages 8 and 11 and this hotel couldn’t have been anymore perfect. We enjoyed swimming, the pearl factory, tie dye tshirts, renting mini boats, walking to Epcot and the entertainment at the boardwalk. The food options were great and staff was very helpful. We loved that our room had wood floors and a balcony! Everything felt very clean. I was nervous after reading reviews suggesting this hotel was more adult friendly but I completely disagree. My kids actually preferred the yacht club after we walked through the beach club. We will defiantly be back Read less
