Viceroy Washington DC

Dupont Circle and Embassy Row, Washington DC

The hotel

On the masculine side of sultry, this urban hangout’s dressed in macho greys, with muted jewel accents, monochrome detailing, and warming dashes of wood and distressed leather. It all fits in with the manly ‘cut and thrust’ of Washington DC and Mason & Rook Hotel’s neighbourhood, which they describe as ‘the IT zone’. Steps from 14th Street, the rooms still ooze spaciousness from their former life as apartments. After grabbing free tea or coffee downstairs each morning, you can walk to the White House and other DC delights, or hop on a complimentary bike to explore – just be back for the nightly wine hour. Guests staying in summertime can mix days sightseeing with days at the rooftop pool, before joining local crowds at its accompanying bar for creative cocktails and starlit views over the capital.

I arrived in DC and from the moment I stepped out of the Uber the Viceroy staff went above and beyond, specifically Karen and Justin! Everything from The rooms, location, hotel ambiance, and even their iced cold brew were amazing. I am not normally a 5 star review person but this hotel is worth every star. A must stay on your next visit.

We arrived late Monday, and just wanted a coffee and quick bite to eat before we headed out Tuesday morning. They had no drip coffee, we had to order Americano’s. They were out of the breakfast sandwich my husband wanted, he had to take 2nd choice. I wanted a fruit & granola cup, out of those too. I settled for an oat muffin & yogurt. Whilst waiting for Americano’s to brew & sandwich to warm up, our server discovered … wait for it … no oat muffins! We’d already paid, I wasn’t about to order something different that might change the cost. The only other muffin available was chocolate. Pretty unsatisfactory for a “coffee bar” Read less

The next morning Karen practically became my best friend! I complimented her bedazzled mask and she offered to bring me one the next day. It was more than I needed but her natural response was to go an extra mile for a guest. The room is spacious and adorable. In fact, the whole hotel is Insta worthy!!! Read less

We had such a great stay at the Viceroy DC. It’s a little less lux than some other Viceroy hotels, but the price point was also lower so that made up for it. The location is amazing, and a stunning roof deck/pool. The fitness center was quite small but I’m happy there was one! I want to shout Karen from reception… she was not only helpful but… Read more

My husband and I would def stay here again, it’s walking distance to many attractions and gay bars etc. Read less

Have stayed here before and have always enjoyed the large nicely appointed rooms, the roof top pool and other amenities. Location is perfect right next to Logan Circle. Staff is always great and helpful. On my last trip Didier Justin, was particularly helpful with my car and went above and beyond.
