Viceroy Washington DC

Dupont Circle and Embassy Row, Washington DC

The hotel

On the masculine side of sultry, this urban hangout’s dressed in macho greys, with muted jewel accents, monochrome detailing, and warming dashes of wood and distressed leather. It all fits in with the manly ‘cut and thrust’ of Washington DC and the Viceroy's neighbourhood, which they describe as ‘the IT zone’. Steps from 14th Street, the rooms still ooze spaciousness from their former life as apartments. After grabbing free tea or coffee downstairs each morning, you can walk to the White House and other DC delights. Guests staying in summertime can mix days sightseeing with days at the rooftop pool, before joining local crowds at its accompanying bar for creative cocktails and starlit views over the capital.

I had an amazing experience staying at Viceroy!! I've stayed at Viceroy in Brickell Miami (years ago), and the DC property is *chef's kiss*. The DC hotel is super cute and close to everything fun on 14th street - where all of the best restaurants are. Love the aesthetic of the lobby and rooms - I hope to go back during the summer because the pool… Read more

Love the aesthetic of the lobby and rooms - I hope to go back during the summer because the pool area is super cute. Above and beyond experience. Everyone that works here was extremely accommodating. Michael at the front desk is the epitome of hospitality. He's SO kind. I will definitely be back and I've already told a ton of friends about this lovely place. Read less

I have stayed at the Viceroy multiple times. This is my favorite DC hotel. The location is fantastic (walking distance to everything). The rooms are large and spotlessly clean. Valet parking is so convenient, and the coffee at BPM was delicious. On my most recent stay (January 8, 2022) Karen at the front desk made sure we were well taken care of… Read more

I booked a stay at the Viceroy to escape a snowstorm, and the staff make this hotel the next best thing to home. They were so welcoming to my dog, and so helpful and friendly every step of the way - especially Karena, who took amazing care of us and helped to modify our reservation when we had an opportunity to leave a hit early and return home.… Read more

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Getaway weekend: high expectation - low experience

First time staying at a Viceroy property. I stayed over the weekend in cellebration of a special date with my wife and there was nothing relevant that met my expectations. Minding that this is not an average rate property. It was a good size room, but in general my stay was "cold". No service or amenities or anything out of the ordinary that… Read more

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Almost Perfect

Rooms, Pools, Service, Food were all outstanding. Only issue was that as soon as we checked in my wife slipped and fell on the pavement decline that was being mopped. The same slipperiness applied to inside the spa area. Other than that unfortunate maintenance attention, everything else was perfect.
