Viceroy Washington DC

Dupont Circle and Embassy Row, Washington DC

Virgin rating

The hotel

On the masculine side of sultry, this urban hangout’s dressed in macho greys, with muted jewel accents, monochrome detailing, and warming dashes of wood and distressed leather. It all fits in with the manly ‘cut and thrust’ of Washington DC and the Viceroy's neighbourhood, which they describe as ‘the IT zone’. Steps from 14th Street, the rooms still ooze spaciousness from their former life as apartments. After grabbing free tea or coffee downstairs each morning, you can walk to the White House and other DC delights. Guests staying in summertime can mix days sightseeing with days at the rooftop pool, before joining local crowds at its accompanying bar for creative cocktails and starlit views over the capital.

A great boutique hotel near the Mall but yet in calm and green area and with many restaurants nearby. Rooftop pool area, restaurant and café all nice spots with a high standard. Friendly and professional staff. I would be happy to stay here again.

Great customer service. Special shout-out to Frank at the front desk. He went above and beyond the call of duty to satisfy all of our needs. All the staff was extremely polite and helpful. Location is close to all the attractions. Bike friendly.

We visited DC for two nights, staying at the Viceroy. The room was great, clean and spacious, but the staff was the highlight. Karen, Robert, Justin, Ahmed and the rest treated us and our pooch like family. The location near Logan Circle is also great. Many restaurants in walking distance. Great hotel

The Viceroy had a very relaxed vibe and was much more personal and friendly than the bigger hotels we've stayed at in big cities. We loved the jazz playing in the lobby. And from the front desk to the valet folks, everyone was courteous and seemed genuinely happy to have us as guests. The pool was small, but clean and refreshing on some very warm… Read more

We'd absolutely go again, as well as recommend the Viceroy to family and friends . Read less

The hotel is magnificent; the meeting room had everything we needed to conduct the retreat. The room was large and oh so comfortable. I had such a great time. Great places to eat nearby, but the hotel's restaurant was to die for. Karen was so professional and thoughtful of the entire process. She even remembered my name! I cannot say enough about this hotel. The fact that I will stay there again next week just for the heck of it shows how well they treated me. My new favorite hotel BY FAR! Thanks again, Karen, Read less
