The hotel

The hotel is fine - very large and spread out. Basically what you expect from an airport hotel. It is clean and the staff is polite. My son and I stayed one night at this property on Sunday 10/10/21, and unfortunatley, had a bad experience. I am a Marriott Titanium level member, and used my free night to book a room close to the airport. We arrived around 8:00pm and checked in to our room, 3411, which had an adjoining door to what must have been a suite based on the amount of people in the room. At 11:00pm I had to call the front desk to complain about the noise level. I was assured they would take care of it. The noise never stopped - loud talking, laughter, the opening of beer cans. It was as if we were sharing a room with these people. I could understand every conversation verbatuum. At midnight, I called the front desk again and told the same story, they would send security. The noise never let up. Security may have showed up, but the party was never broken up, the noise never stsopped. At 1:00am I requested a new room. We packed up, went to the lowest floor, given a handicap accesible room. Frankly, I was grateful for the quiet. It goes without saying that I did not have a restful night, and I am not a happy customer. It is a shame that I wasted my free night on such a bad experience. Marriott needs to be assertive about parties, especially as they disrupt restful stays for customers. Read less

I have encountered what I believe to be the very worst customer service experience from the front desk to the billing department who can not figure out how to sort a simple billing error. Call and get transferred to voicemails for people that do not return the call, when you finally reach someone, they can not figure out what to do and then get transferred to yet another voicemail…..not good at all! Even the Marriott corporate team got the run around recently trying to solve the issue and pushed into a voicemail too. Absolutely 100% ridiculous. The property itself, not spectacular at all and quite frankly you are better off going to the Marriott Suites across the freeway than staying here!!!! I hope that customers who are reading this and other comment about service take their business elsewhere! Too many great choices in the Dulles area to deal with this property’s staff. Read less

My husband and I are Bonvoy Platinum Elite members and have been for over 15 yrs. We were flying out of Dulles airport and thought this would be a perfect location to spend the night before our early morning flight. We were not greeted when we arrived. The reception staff was rude and seemed put out when we asked questions about the shuttle and leaving our car while we traveled. Our room was 84 degrees and when I called the desk they said the "AC was having trouble keeping up with outside temp and that it would cool down when the sunset. That we had to be patient." I went to get ice and ice machines weren't working. I called the desk asking for ice and they said I had to go to reception to pick it up. I did and after a 20 min wait I was handed a garbage bag filled with ice. The room was not cooling off so after another phone call they offered us a fan. Four hours after our arrival when the temperature was now 86 and the sun had already set they offered us a room in another wing that had better cooling. Is this anyway to treat loyal customers? Where is the Marriott Standard of service? Read less
