The hotel

A great choice for business and leisure travellers alike, this world-class Marriott hotel is only half a mile from airport terminals, giving you peace of mind and plenty of time in-between flights to enjoy a whole range of exciting activities and amenities. In the summer, there’s a gorgeous outdoor pool in the courtyard and 2 tiki bars serving delicious tropical drinks as you soak up the sun’s rays. There’s also an indoor lap pool for those keen to keep fit and a splash pool for the little ones to have some fun in. Other activities include tennis, basketball and sand volleyball, so there’s certainly plenty to keep you busy! The Oakleaf Restaurant is a great place to dine serving an impressive buffet at breakfast plus a la carte specials for lunch and dinner. There’s also the Lobby Lounge, a popular meeting place with lighter fare on the menu and a very relaxed atmosphere. If you want to explore further afield, the Steven F Udvar-Hazy Centre is 1 mile away. The companion facility to the Air and Space Museum on the National Mall, highlights include the Space Shuttle Enterprise and the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, currently the fastest jet in the world!

This hotel is in need of upgrades. We stayed overnight after long travel day with delays. It was just a room to sleep before driving home the next morning. Sink was broken, shower was hard to operate, no hair dryer. TV didn’t work but we didn’t need it. Just wanted to watch news while each other showered. No such luck. Wouldn’t recommend. I have nothing but positive things to say about the Marriott Dulles Airport! As a Titanium member, the front desk was able to accommodate my request for an early check in. The lounge provided a variety of snacks and beverages throughout the day. Breakfast for elite members was offered in the restaurant and a light hot dinner was provided in the lounge in the evening. The gym and my room were all clean functional. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. Lastly, there is a free shuttle that runs approximately every 15 minutes. Read less

Excellent hotel with an old school charm. This property is one of the few remaining original Marriotts and proves that with proper upkeep even the oldest hotels can still shine. The room was large and comfortable, check in was a breeze and the room was exceptionally quiet. This will be my go to hotel when taking early morning flights out of Dulles!

This is an older property that has had some remodeling done several years ago, but is poorly maintained. This is an older property that has had some remodeling done several years ago, but is poorly maintained. We stayed here twice in September, 2023 almost three weeks apart and both times the elevators for half of the property were out of service. The ice machines were out of service and you had to get ice from the bar. The bathrooms in the rooms are old, cramped and poorly designed and had damaged accoustic tiles in the ceilings. The Concierge Lounge on the property was poorly stocked and the coffee machine was being repaired. The restaurant was mediocre and service was slow. Their are no other restaurants near the hotel, so there are no other food options. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel when there are many other options close by with shuttles to the airport.
