Apparently there are a lot of high rollers in these reviews. Yes, the default parking situation is terrible ($60 for valet), but it's D.C. There are a million parking garages you can walk from. Most of the amenities were closed, but the room was really nice. The mirrors in this hotel have lights around the frame that you can turn on and off by… Read more

Most of the amenities were closed, but the room was really nice. The mirrors in this hotel have lights around the frame that you can turn on and off by tapping the surface. The beds have a light underneath. From the window, you can see a beautiful view of D.C. and the treasury. The shower is gigantic. The "toilet room" has a dope mural on the wall. Contactless check-in and check-out are available through the Marriot Bonvoy app. This hotel was about the same price as a four-star NYC hotel I stayed in (not during the pandemic). Of course, NYC will always have better views, but the room in this DC hotel was much nicer. Read less

The hotel's parking situation is a nightmare and are EXTREMELY COSTLY, NOT WORTH IT. We left our car one night in their garage across the street from the Hotel and the gentleman did not know how to open our car and yelled at me for taking the key blade. Keep in mind he had to key fob which allows for unlocking and locking the vehicle and turning off/on the engine. We stayed two nights at the W and the housekeeping never came by to clean our room the second day. We were distraught since we need clean towels and most towels did not dry properly since there is not comfortable area to dry them out properly. This Hotel is overpriced. They food options are WELLL OVER PRICED. We had breakfast locally all under $12 while the W hotel charges $18 for eggs. Read less

Parking is a disaster at this hotel. Attendants are rude, and the process is completely disorganized. Can’t stress that enough. To make matters worse, this hotel is not welcoming at all. With several people at the welcome desk, not even a single acknowledgement when passing by - not once throughout the stay. Service wise, this hotel is not even… Read more

My suggestion is to stay elsewhere. Read less

The rooms are quite small. I have stayed at several W hotels but I was quite disappointed that these rooms do not have a separated bathroom. The sink and shower are basically in your room. This is not acceptable for a W hotel. It provides no privacy when you are staying with two guests in one room. The sink is tiny and not well positioned. In… Read more

This is not acceptable for a W hotel. It provides no privacy when you are staying with two guests in one room. The sink is tiny and not well positioned. In addition the rooms are not well insulated as we could hear the noisy neighbors at 3am!! The staff was great in providing another room the fay after when we raised the issue of the noise. Great location but next time would pick a different hotel that is more up to the standards. Note - I am a Bonvoy Ambassador Elite member and have travelled to many hotels so I have seen better price/quality W hotels. Read less

I recently stayed at the W in DC for 8 nights. While all of the restaurants and rooftop are closed due to COVID, I still had an enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean and I had no issues getting more products when needed although they were clearly short staffed.
