Terrible hotel. This place has the SMALLEST rooms. It's under construction so the rooftop and all the restaurants are closed. The room felt like jail! Maybe a jail cell has a better window! All the suites were booked. The rooms were 150 square feet. Ridiculous!

We stayed at the W hotel for 2 nights, glad it wasn’t longer as we were on top of each other in this tiny room. The hotel is under renovation and we were told we had one of the newly renovated rooms. We thought great, but what they have done is take 2 rooms and made them 3 rooms. It was a king bed room but 12 x 24. No closet, just 2 pegs… Read more

The room is absurd. I would never stay here again. The rooms are ridiculously small (even after an upgrade). And that asa top tier (ambassador elite) guest. I can’t imagine how anyone hoping for a nice stay without status would be treated. Do not stay here. Seriously, forget brand loyalty and stay somewhere, anywhere, else.

So disappointed to arrive in DC for a 3 day visit with my husband and arrive at the W Hotel under full renovation- only 4 floors occupied rest of building being updated... would have been nice to know would’t it? Opened our door to what could only be described as an efficiency room- We requested a room change and were told there was nothing , no king , no queen double. So here we are in a tiny room, not a chair to sit in, six hangers , one robe , a sink the size of a dinner plate located IN the room. The shower door is so large it swings half way across to the toilet. I don’t know Marriott who ever designed this has a vision .... why you decided to brand this edgy ( aka tacky ) Decor ... a throw pillow with a face on it is for sale... it’s too large for the space and takes up oxygen. Sadly disappointed, will avoid Marriott brand from this point forward. Read less

On a whim, we decided to drive 9 hours to Washington DC after work on Friday so we could see the cherry blossoms the next day. Since we booked the room online in the morning, I was not sure what to expect as we were checking in at 2am but, of course, the downtown traffic was quiet and we could just leave our car at the front door. The check-in was quick and efficient but still very friendly. The room was clean, modern and very comfortable. The location is fantastic, a minute away from Old Ebbit Pub, two minutes from the White House, 15 minutes to the National Mall and 20 minutes to the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin. The staff were helpful and friendly at all times and, when I called their "whatever line" to make a request, the "yes" response was immediate and unequivocal. If you come to see the cherry blossoms, I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. Read less
