Right in the very centre of town, the SunSquare looks like a very good option visiting Cape Town.Just a few minutes drive and you can get everywhere, Service is precise and people really friendly.I recommend the breakfast!

A smart, comfortable hotel, but my advice would be to always get a taxi from and to this location. Some people who were on the same escorted tour as us were approached by a beggar as they got out of a taxi outside, and it turned into an attempted robbery. BEWARE! Some people who were on the same escorted tour as us were approached by a beggar as they got out of a taxi outside, and it turned into an attempted robbery. BEWARE! I was also victim of a street robbery opposite the main railway station. The staff at the hotel were very helpful, but I got the impression that they often had to report crimes to police on behalf of its guests. Lovely roof bar with a great view of Table Mountain. Has a pool on the roof, but it is very small. Reasonably priced food. Read less

We stayed here for 3 nights in March 2020. The hotel is in a good location. Rooms are very spacious and well equipped with all amenities. Breakfast choices are good with a plentiful variety and eggs cooked how you like. Pancakes are also freshly made. We stayed here for 3 nights in March 2020. The hotel is in a good location. Rooms are very spacious and well equipped with all amenities. Breakfast choices are good with a plentiful variety and eggs cooked how you like. Pancakes are also freshly made. Due to the Corona virus our flight to Mauritius was cancelled and we ended up staying an additional 2 nights before we could fly back home to the UK. Due to costs we decided to stay in the adjoining sister hotel Stay Easy. We found the Duty Manager Lebohung to be extremely helpful. He ensured that we could access the adjoining hotel from a connecting floor, gave us a discounted rate for the rooms, allowed us to have breakfast in the Sun Square hotel, provided bottled water and most importantly allowed us a late check out as our flight home was in the evening. Thank you Lebo for showing us humanity and kindness in these troubled times. The world is a better place with people like you. This hotel deserves a 5 star rating! Read less

I had a very good stay at SUnSquear Cape Town City Bowl. I would appreciate some improvements with regards to the turnaround time for answering of calls and in-room dinning service including house keeping.

We were part of a large conference group and really enjoyed our stay here. The food was fantastic throughout the week, the kitchen and restaurant staff were brilliant. The rooms were fairly small in size but with lovely bathrooms and all the extras needed. The only issue we had was with the disorganised roof top bar staff, who were not lead by a good team manager. We waiting 45 minutes for our drinks order during happy hour and didn't receive any money off our bill. I think they need to look at the service they provide on the roof top as it is such a lovely feature of the hotel. I also had to pay cash for the shuttle back to the airport as the hotel reception staff didn't take my card payment at checkout. This has meant I haven't been able to claim the taxi expense to my work as I don't have any paperwork. But overall staff were great. Read less
