I read at least 50 reviews before deciding to book our 35th anniversary stay at the WA as there were many mixed reviews. I decided to book and I'm ever so glad I did. The Super Fantastic: Check-in was flawless with Tom around 7:30 pm on a Sunday evening. Tom said there was not an upgrade available, which was immediately disheartening as I am a Diamond member. However, Tom explained the difference in the two rooms and so we decided not to prejudge this lack of an upgrade. Tom is a real gem and a positive representation for this hotel. Our room was on the 15th floor with a City View. The room was fantastic. A beautiful arrangement of balloons and treats awaited us with a hand-written anniversary card. Our suite was well-appointed in every way. Our luggage arrived within ten minutes of us checking in to our room. Since our room was an end room, we had a view of the pool on one side and a view of the MGM Park hotel on the other side. Our room was exceptionally quiet too. The bed was comfortable. The Zen Kitchen was a great place to eat breakfast too. Our rate included breakfast for two. We tried something different each morning... until I discovered the blueberry pancakes! WOW! They were thick, fluffy, delicious and a delightful way to begin the day. I highly recommend the pancakes. Also, at night, I couldn't help but grab a container of strawberry ice cream on my way up to our room. Their ice cream is so soothing... both chocolate and strawberry. Do give them a try! The employees were simply delightful. From the moment we arrived with our vehicle, having our first interaction with valet, to the time we checked out, every single employee / team member was helpful and friendly within the hotel. The Transparent: We had an eight night, nine day stay. We WILL stay again without hesitation. But everyone wants to know about the good and the bad. Here are a couple of additional thoughts. 1. The elevator situation has been written about ad-nauseum in so many reviews. Yes, you do have to change elevators to go to your room. It is mildly inconvenient BUT after the second day we had it down to a science and it really was not a problem. You must always enter and exit from the first floor lobby. Therefore, you will go to the 3rd floor to change elevators to get to your room. You will go to the 23rd floor to check-in or visit the front desk. The Zen Kitchen is on the 3rd floor and the pool, hair salon and spa are on the 8th floor. 2. Our water pressure in the shower was not as strong as other hotels in Vegas. Doable but could have been better. 3. Our lights were fickle and we had to have them reset twice by maintenance. Both times they arrived within 10 minutes and were immensely apologetic. No big deal, just a minor inconvenience! 4. Our bathroom door would not close. Maintenance looked at it and said they would have to take it apart to fix. We said, "no worries, fix it after we leave." This should have been handled before we arrived. Hopefully it has been fixed prior to the next guest that was given this amazing room. 5. I had an incident, that never should have happened, with my racing bike that was stored downstairs. It could have been really, really ugly; however, Russell was exceptionally skilled in handling this situation. Kudos to Russell but again, the bike should have never been mishandled. 6. It was really surprising that there are no USB ports to charge your phone, iPad, etc. Even your basic hotels have this option. This was just strange! Finally, this is truly a superb hotel, right on the Vegas strip. It is so convenient to walk to restaurants or to go shopping. There is no gaming or smoking at this hotel. It is an oasis of quietness! I highly recommend! Read less

Late check-in as Room was not ready. New “no housekeeping” policy. Housekeeping does not answer phone. Front desk tells they will change towels and collect trash (but then nobody shows up). Would have been a great stay if it was not for the poor service …

Jane Santos went above and beyond to provide myself and my guests with an outstanding experience, The property is beyond compare (especially the view) and the service from everyone was excellent! Get a "Pear of Aces" cocktail at the Skybar - you will feel like James Bond! Best Regards, Bill

We stayed in the "CITY VIEW ONE-BEDROOM SUITE" which was nice, peaceful, but will definitely go back for their SPA! Seriously, just do it. The decor was typical Waldorf, so you'll feel at home. Strange to have to switch elevators though. We will definitely be returning soon.
