Bally's Hotel and Casino

The Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

With unwavering service, comprehensive dining and amenities that are second to none, it’s no doubt Bally’s has been welcoming excited guests for over 30 years now! There’s the casino of course, with its traditional reels, video poker, slots machines and roulette tables but, if Lady Luck and you have been flirting too much, head on over to the oversized poolside instead — it’s rocking. And yes, we do mean literally, with DJ music, private cabanas and plenty of shaded areas thanks to the palm trees! Or perhaps a game of tennis might tempt you? The complex here is one of the largest on the Strip with eight floodlit courts to choose from. Golfers will appreciate a free tee session at one of two nearby golf courses or shop ‘til you drop at Bally’s Avenue. It’s not just about the gambling in Las Vegas, there’s the shows as well and Bally’s plays host to some of the best. Feel like you’re attending an actual wedding — Tony n’ Tina’s to be precise, or take a step to the left with the cast of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Dining at Bally’s can be sumptuous with bottomless Champagne, caviar and lobster or play it simple and grab a martini and an appetiser at the Steakhouse Bar.

Clean room. Bedsheets and towels all clean. We stayed on a smoke free floor and room did not smell at all. Faced the high roller on the 15th floor and it was quiet. Great service by the staff. We had a late flight so we checked out on the website and dropped off our bags. They held our luggage until we had to go to the airport.

I stayed for a week on business and chose this hotel based on its location. Being on business meant I needed to come and go freely which was a pain. There’s no parking garage which meant a 10 minute walk to the car. First, going down the long hallway to the elevator. From the elevator, a walk through the entire hotel to get to the door closest to the parking area. Then finally, a walk from the door, alongside an entire attached building to the parking stalls. To do so with luggage, purchases (I bought water from the store inside once. It was $30 for 3 bottles of water which lead me to a grocery store.) and just when you think you’re home free, your stuck in the parking lot due to their non-functioning RFID system which is supposed to let you in/out the parking lot with a swipe of your hotel card. So now you have to push the “assistance” button and wait to talk to the front desk just to leave! I had various meetings throughout the day and going to and from the room was such a chore. Especially after being in dress shoes all day. I ended up taking a pair of sneakers with me for the walk back. The parking lot is also poorly lit and is completely dark in furthest parking section. It was nice seeing people with their pets and it was silent in my room. There’s no grass on the property so I have no idea where you could even take a pet to relieve itself. Overall, the inconvenience of coming and going is a dealbreaker. Never again. Read less

Very disappointed! Practically, no customer service! You are treated like part of a herd! Chaotic check in process. No one to talk to. No amenities. The pool is closed. The Gym is 10 minutes walk. It is not a 4 star hotel!!!!
