Stayed here for seven nights from Christmas Day to New Years Day. We got a good sub $100 deal on the room through Marriott and upon review, I probably wouldn't pay much more. Although Covid-19 is real, it was used as an excuse to deny many basic services. While convenient that there is a kitchenette, every plate, cup, and piece of silverware had crusty food left on it. You should use the provided dish soap to clean everything before using. Request for towels and replacement toiletries through the app went unanswered. We ended up just taking more soap off the housekeeping carts that are left unattended in random corners of the hallways. In fact, you may want to bring your own towels as the ones in the room were visibly stained. Regarding the beach service, any pictures you see on tripadvisor *from management* of nice chairs and big red umbrellas is an outdated lie. Instead, you lug ($45 at Costco) tommy bahama folding chairs across the street to the beach. I would recommend Marriott update their pictures on TA to reflect reality. The $22 a day "destination fee" also provides you with 2 *tiny* 3 oz bottles of water at check-in (yes, only once) and the chance to maybe borrow a bike, unless none are available, which is most of the time. The destination fee, paid on top of the room charges, does not convey value in the way described at booking. I fault the staff in no way for the disappointing facets of the stay. Ana and the guys who handle the breakfast (e.g., hand you a box of cereal) are wonderful. It's just evident that the owners of the hotel have cut every corner possible. Read less

We decided to come down to Miami for Christmas break for a change of scenery. Unfortunately our stay at this location was very disappointing. Given COVID we were expecting a different experience, however there were quite a few things that were unacceptable. 1. The floor in our room was filthy. I ended up taking a bath towel to get all the dirt, crumbs, etc. out. 2. Our bedding was clearly not washed. There were stains all over. 3. The pool was disgusting. Everyday there were leaves, garbage and cigarette butts in the pool. 4. The couches in the cabanas next to the pool were filthy. We didn’t even was to sit on them. 5. We had issues with the temperature/humidity levels in our room the entire stay and the exhaust fan didn’t work in the bathroom. I complained several times, but was told that there was not an issue and the engineer set the thermostat correctly. All of our clothes were damp, our swimming suits never dried, and there was a slimy feel to everything. 6. When new bath towels were needed they had to be requested from guest services, and sometimes required multiple phone calls. 7. The women’s bathroom by the pool smelled so bad that it was also present in the hallway to the pool. 8. Breakfast was reduced to a “grab and go” due to COVID, which is understandable. However it would have been nice to have more options than just yogurt, cereal and either an orange, apple or banana. The only reason I’m giving this property two stars is for the location to the beach and it’s just a short walk to a grocery store and some amazing restaurants. Read less

The hotel is very basic, no frills and not large, but the rooms are spacious and they have a nice courtyard and lobby with ample seating areas in both. Expect full kitchenettes, a relatively quiet stay (by Miami Beach standards), and staff that are courteous but more professional than friendly.

If you are not turned off by finding a pair of Black Womens underwear on a stool in your room, then by all means book this place. Yeah we got upgraded to a bigger, better unit, and hadall fees waived. Those panties kind of put a damper on things.

After further investigation I found a lot of hair all over the bedroom floor and corners. This confirmed the room was not properly clean or sanitized correctly during Covid-19. I advised front desk which lacked empathy. I was offered another room (same category) which turned out to be bad idea. The room was located near the atrium and I was unable to open my curtains due to lack of privacy. The outdoor speaker played music 24hrs making it difficult to sleep. The fried he ice maker is broken making a loud noise throughout the night. Read less
