Room was clean although could use more lighting. Kitchen was roomy with a full fridge, freezer, and lots of cabinet storage. Bed was very comfortable, the sofabed was satisfactory. Room was a bit damp when we arrived, but setting the thermostat to 'Dry' mode fixed that. Staff was efficient with all our housekeeping requests. Each time we would ask for towels, toiletries etc. they wrote it down and we would get what we asked for promptly. Lots of pleasant outdoor living space with a nice courtyard on the ground floor and a pool and terrace on the 3rd floor, either are good for eating meals or just lounging around. Pool was clean and a good size, not too crowded, and there are cabanas as well. Beach equipment was a bit disappointing, beach chairs are in short supply and not in great shape. Breakfast was a nice plus, we ate cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee, bagels and especially liked the packaged muffins. Hotel was experienced and knowledgeable about our kosher and Sabbath religious observances. Excellent location, just a couple blocks away from houses of worship and restaurants, across the street from a gorgeous beach. Very quiet in the room despite being on busy Collins Avenue. Overall, very good value, we are well satisfied and would certainly stay again. Read less

Stayed here for 7 nights at short notice and ended up staying in three different rooms in the hotel. It's a short walk from Surfside beach and the shops/restaurants of the town. The hotel provided breakfast, has a gym, a pool and provides rental bikes and a limited number of beach chairs that are available on a first-come-first-serve basis each day. The rooms are spacious, have excellent kitchen facilities and comfortable beds. The bathrooms are clean but could do with a little love to either fix loose handles or repair some small shower plumbing issues. The pool was a nice spot, in the sun most of the day and big enough to swim in, play in and take young children in. The hotel provided pool towels however they, along with the towels in the bedrooms were very small and poor quality. Breakfast is limited due to Covid, there is a small buffet but do not expect anything glamorous or lots of options. Everything is served on paper plates and with plastic cutlery. At present due to Covid there is no bar or restaurant facilities throughout the rest of the day and night. Staff were generally very helpful, particularly with the room changes in order to accommodate a young child. One manager was quite aggressive however, trying to charge us for two rooms on one night (where we had moved rooms) and wanted evidence that we were only using one room. The hotel is a comfortable stay and serves a purpose. There are more expensive and luxurious hotels nearby but if you simply want a base in the Surfside area this will do the job and has the added bonus of a nice pool. Read less

What a great place. Clean lobby, clean rooms nice outdoor garden to relax and a quiet pool to sit in the son. Maria L (sales director) was kind and helpful and really takes pride in the property. Elisa R at the front desk was beyond amazing. Nothing was too big or too small. In summary: Great hotel, great value, great location. They do need more… Read more

Location is excellent. Hotel is about what you'd expect at this price point. Clean, professional, efficient. Nothing fancy, but that should be the expectation. Overall, a great visit. 2 issues. 1 . Parking - They need a better system. There are no tickets upon entering the garage. You need to tell them at checkin that you are parked there and they give you a placard to place on your car. A little annoying when you've been traveling all day, then lugging everything up to the lobby, only to be told you have to go back down to the garage to place the placard on your car. Ruins the checkin experience. 2. Destination fee? Come on, that's just ridiculous, and in my opinoin, should be illegal. You're charging me an additional fee (each day) for amenities that have always just been included? It's just a way to help show a lower cost per night and then gauge you later. Destination fee includes "beach access." Ok, what if you don't use the beach? also the fitness center...really? I need to pay an extra 22 dollar fee each day to use the fitness center in the hotel I paid to stay at? Read less

I had a hard time pulling the trigger and staying at this residence inn, so many bad reviews. And who wants to stay at a not so nice place when they go away. I had a hard time pulling the trigger and staying at this residence inn, so many bad reviews. And who wants to stay at a not so nice place when they go away. But we did it, my wife and I stayed for four days and really enjoyed ourselves. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not the ritz Carlton, but it also didn’t cost ritz prices. We had a one bedroom suite which was very nice and had a nice quiet ocean view. The pool area is very nice and we used their bikes on several days. Breakfast is basic. But the main reason we would stay here again are the people. My wife’s best friend mom died while we were there and unfortunately we had to cut our trip by one day. A lot of hotels might have given me a hard time, not so here. They changed our reservation to accommodate us. And that is only one example of how nice they are. My son lives in Miami and every night he would come over and park in their garage and we would walk to a restaurant, no charge for him to park. And we really like this location, 3 minutes to the beach, 10 minutes walk to lots of great restaurants and if you like to bike, the walking/bike path is beautiful. If your lucky enough to stay here, your lucky enough. Enjoy Read less
