We have been scammed. We booked a room for two nights with a balcony and when we arrived they didn't have it. So we agreed that we would only stay one night. They promised to refund us the money for the night we didn't enjoy (we looked for another hotel) and they gave us two drinks. After claiming €238, both via email and right there in person, they don't answer us and they don't return the money. It is unthinkable that a hotel with these characteristics would steal money from users who just want to enjoy themselves. I have been in cheaper hotels where I have not been robbed and have been treated honestly. we feel a great impotence, €238 is a lot of money for workers like us. We will never recommend this hotel or any of the Marriot house, since both the hotel and the department that is in charge of Marriot have not even deigned to respond to us. message to the hotel staff!: If you care about your reputation and you are honest, I hope you contact us and solve it for us, it's been a month and you ignore us. She was really nice and helpful the best service we got in a long time. She was real professional. She was real respectful and made sure we got to the the right room and almost forgot she made sure we had the best experience at the Westin hotel.

Natao is 83 years old imagine that! The hotel should do a feature on this employees who has been with the Westin for over three decades. Rooms are large as is the bathroom. Good quality toiletries. A large and comfortable bed that you can sink into at the end of a long day. There’s a Starbucks in the lobby where you can get coffee and pastries in the morning. Sound level is good. No noisy neighbors at this hotel. Westin is an ideal first stop if you’re flying into LAX from a long flight. Stay a day or two before you hit the streets of this vibrant city. Would I stay again? Definitely! Will be back sooner than soon! Read less

I booked this hotel SPECIFICALLY due to it's pet friendly policies, and - of course - proximity to Los Angeles Airport. When I checked in on line, I received a message saying that my dog should weigh no more than 40 lbs. I immediately called the hotel and got a front desk supervisor who clearly does not excel in handling guests. She sighed, consulted a manager and quite condescendingly told me that she would make a one-time "exception". I called and spoke to the Manager on Duty, who didn't seem able to directly answer any of my inquires, so I asked for the name of the GM. He said he couldn't give it to me ... I wonder if he realizes how easy that information is to find, and obfuscating it really diminishes the experience. So I did connect with a different manager, and he was helpful. He showed me on the website (full site) where the limitation was, and I showed him on the mobile site that same information is NOT published. I can be wrong ... but let's be thorough. Moving on to the hotel itself ... the edifice is older ... late 70s or early 80s. It has been remodeled, but is definitely showing it's age. Elevator panels faded, marred and loose. Many of the doors are scuffed and worn. Staffing is very definitely inadequate. The good: they still have real bellmen. They still have a functioning lounge. They still upgrade Titanium members. These are all important attributes for the frequent traveler. The not so good: Front desk staff. While I would never expect hotel staff to kiss my okole, I expect them to be pleasant, helpful and at least SOMEWHAT deferential. If they are overworked, then the guests become nothing but a room number, dehumanized, and the interactions are kept to the briefest possible number of moments. Security is also lacking. Guests were clearly smoking pot in and around the hotel (a non smoking property). The parking lot felt, well, sketch. The unacceptable: Full service hotels have seen the most precipitous decline since the pandemic. Things which would have been cardinal sins just a few short years ago are routine. I have come to accept that maid service is considered dispensible. I don't like it, but I accept it. CLEANLINESS is not dispensible. The furniture and carpets in my room were stained with food stains. I didn't get a warm fuzzy in the bathroom either. But to enter a hotel and see rubbish and dining-ware in the hallway and to have it remain there throughout the duration of the stay is unsanitary and unforgivable. That invites pests, illness and is incredibly unsightly. I can't IMAGINE that the brand standard allows for such appearance. These days, the limited service brands are a much better deal ... if you stay at a Hampton or a Courtyard, you get the exact same service (minimal to none) as the flagship brands for a lower cost, and generally with free parking and a better staff to guest ratio. This manager did reach out and offer compensation for the misunderstanding. A) I am usually looking for a resolution, not compensation (we did not use the credit) and B) I had some culpability in the misunderstanding. Long story short ... I would not return to the Westin LAX until the fundamental issues are corrected. There are many hotels near LAX, and while service seems to be lacking at ALL of them, the ones away from Century Blvd seem to have better environs. Travel in the post-pandemic world is in a frenzy. This too, shall pass. And, once again, travel vendors will have to up their game in order to attract business. In the meantime, stay in the least expensive place possible. Read less

I never been in a place so disorganized. Van from terminal to hotel 45 minutes . One drove by without even stopping and it was empty . I asked for digital key and never got it , I had to wait in line for another 30 minutes to check-in. But the worst was the breakfast credit ... as a titanium elite I was told , at check in the credit was $25 per person and we were 2 so I asked if in that case was a total of $50 and front desk at check-in confirmed the amount . Following day I went to breakfast and tipped accordingly to the credit to use the entire credit . Well I was charge for breakfast . I called hotel to get charge removed and I was told I misunderstood ( well I didn't ) and the credit was only $15 per guest so $30 in my case . Still I haven't received any credit whatsoever . I called 3 times and left a voicemail even for the GM , who never contacted me back . Stay away from that hotel . Many other better marriott property nearby , where I have stayed with no problems .... Shame on you Marriott yo allow an hotel like westin to be so bad and to steal money from your elite customers Read less
