Just returned from a fab stay in Barbados. Hotel was lovely, very handy for getting out and about. We upgraded to the superior ocean view room and looked directly onto the beach, well worth it. Drinks on the balcony as the sun set. Room was large and cleaned every day. Thanks to Thea Renee for her prompt responses to my emails before we… Read more

Just as nice as last year. I would though suggest a couple of changes. There is nowhere in the hotel where you can sit with any peace and quiet. I came to relax not listen to loud hotel music all day. Just a small point here but would you please fit felt pads to the bottom legs of the metal stools in the bedrooms. Do you know how horrible it is to be in the apartment below someone dragging a metal stool across a tiled floor !!. Wayne and Malibo on the beach where as helpful as ever. Rooms always kept very clean. All the staff here are excellent. Close to everything you need. Will be back. Read less

The hotel bar had great 2 for 1's.We only ate at lunchtime most days and it was fantastic especially homemade fries. The staff who served your drinks and meals were all friendly, great people.Would love to visit again! Pros: beach, hotel, friendly Cons: If only I knew what number the quietest room was to drown out the noise from the road,Room 312 was too close to road traffic! Also,on a personal note,I was quite taken aback when I asked if there was any chance of making a small cake to celebrate my wife's 50th Birthday only to be told to pay $150Bds,in every other hotel we've celebrated a birthday or anniversary there was always a cake snuck into the room whilst empty...just these little touches would make such a difference.Ps we did get a bottle of brut although my doesn't drink. Turn one way outside the door and you're less than 5 mins walk from the bouncing nightlife of "The Gap"; turn the other way and you're surrounded by colorful local bars and restaurants offering more peaceful surroundings. The rooms are clean and well appointed. We did have a problem with hot water on the first day, but as soon as we told the management, this was rectified. Restaurant food is good (not exceptional) and fairly priced, representing value for money. Service is a little slow - but that's typical of the Caribbean (you just don't go there if you're in a hurry!) Read less
