The Three Boutique Hotel

Cape Town, South Africa

The hotel

A more intimate way to experience the captivating city of Cape Town, The Three Boutique Hotel has a mere 18 suites, giving you the feeling you're staying in a private home with friends. And these are friends with a pretty enviable address, just a stroll from leafy Oranjezicht's popular bars and restaurants, and three minutes' walk from The Gardens Shopping Centre. An old manor house dating back to the 1770s, this National Monument building mixes original features (like the rooftop deck's views across Cape Town to Table Mountain, Lion's Head, and Devil's Peak) with modern indulgences like a bijou plunge pool, an honesty bar, and a Cape Malay dining menu.

This lovely building with very comfortable rooms in a quiet part of the city is an excellent place to stay. The welcoming staff could not have been more helpful, including when I unexpectedly needed a GP! They gave very good recommendations on places to eat, the food in the hotel itself was very good, and nothing seemed to be any trouble. It is perhaps slightly farther out of the centre than may suit some, but taxis are easily arranged if you don't feel like walking, and the Hop-on Hop-off bus is a short walk away too. The area to relax and the dining area are all lovely, and if the wind is not howling, the rooftop with its views is a great place to unwind. We really enjoyed our five days there and the lovely attitude of all the staff helped give us a great introduction to South Africa. Read less

Liana and Abisa and their staff are just the best. I had a truly comfortable stay and they went out of their way to help me in any and every way they could. I would stay here EVERY time I'm in CPT. thank you 3 boutiques!

Staff very friendly and helpful Breakfast was a bit of a hash with the orders for everyone around us coming out with different items on Rooms face onto a courtyard which doesnt always feel the most secure versus the other places we stayed Hotel appears to be up for sale judging by the posters on the gate and it seems a bit unsure of itself. With no DSTV or water in the room it wasnt the luxury place it advertised itself but is a clean and decent room There are a few homeless people wandering about nearby streets late in the evening and we were advised to take ubers to the restaurant round the corner . In summary nice, clean and friendly but not as lovely as the websites and photos portray Read less

This is a beautifully furbished colonial style hotel. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and only too willing to book excursions for you. Their recommendations are also worth listening to. The breakfast is great, I must admit, I didn't know whether to eat it or frame it, it looked that good. Highly recommended
