Just one night, but our room was ready early, and we were well looked after during our 2-day stay by the hotel staff who were all very friendly and helpful. We ate at the hotel's restaurant (next door), and the food/service was excellent. The room was comfortable and clean.

We highly recommend the Washington Square Hotel just across the street from Washington Square Park in the heart of Greenwich Village. We live in NYC, but we stay there when family comes to visit and we give them our Village apartment. The area is vibrant with universities and attractions, close to SoHo and Chinatown for shopping, has great outdoor dining (for these COVID days), and easily accessible public transportation. We especially like the top floor king suite with views of the Empire State Building and the park across the street. Read less

It speaks well for the management that there is a low turn over with the staff. The rooms are super clean, as is the lobby, and it is extremely safe, as is the Greenwich Village neighborhood (I was born there, so I understand the street carryings on.) Even during Covid, there is lots of good walks to take and historic buildings to see. Washington Square Park is across the street from the hotel. Always sights to see there. I would not stay anywhere else, it is absolutely (especially since my husband passed) my home away from home. North Square, the hotel's restaurant, has excellent food and a good wine list. Read less
