Stayed 4 nights at Washington Square Hotel in mid- July to take care of some personal business in the area. Booked a standard Queen room. Pleasantly surprised at the ample size with good closet space, safe, hair dryer, coffee maker; decent-sized bathroom with great shower water pressure. Room looked like it had been fairly recently updated, and was very clean. Comfortable bed with crisp white linens. I thought the WSH slippers and the CO Bigalow soaps/shampoo to be a really nice touch. Air conditioner was a modern split duct on the wall. Barely noticed the sound and it kept the room quite chilled (even needed to turn it off). Good Wi-Fi. Since I was busy throughout the day, the hotel provided a welcome respite after a busy day. WSH has its own restaurant/ bar/lounge, with outdoor seating. They made a fine Manhattan in the bar. Location is a quiet street but the subway is only a block away. Tons of restaurants in walking distance in all directions. Staff was very helpful/ front desk is staffed 24/7. The hotel is still operating under COVID safety plans, requesting face covering in the common areas, and limiting housekeeping activities, but not an issue for me. Read less

We were checked in to a room with a flooded floor. No attempt was made to solve the problem — we were just given some dirty towels to mop the floor — but the ceiling was dripping. Really poor response to an obvious problem. Definitely not recommended!

Clean and comfortable room. Bed was super comfortable. Helpful and friendly doorman (Ronny?). Great location in Greenwich village. Sad the Breakfast was only on weekends. Close to NYU, Jazz Club The Blue Note, Washington Square Park and the hi-line.

It was plenty large enough for two people, luggage and room to move. Room looked like it had been freshly updated. Air conditioner was a modern split duct on the wall. Barely noticed the sound and it kept the room chilled. Bathroom NY smallish but clean and great water pressure. Hotel is still operating under COVID safety plans but not an issue. We are big kids and know how to make our bed. If we needed towels or anything additional, they were quickly provided. Location is a quiet street but the subway is only a block away.
