My fiance and I made a quick one-night trip to the city to see a show, and stayed at INK 48 because it was a favorite hotel my fiance had stayed in 5-years ago. We stayed in a Hudson River Suite and were pleased with the generous size of the room, the comfort of the bed, and the "WOW" factor of the sweeping views from the floor to ceiling windows. I should mention in fairness, the "view" of this side of New York isn't terribly interesting or beautiful, and you're in a bit of a fishbowl to the neighboring building - but the wall of windows makes an already large room feel even more expansive. There were discomforts in our stay, but I understand that everyone is suffering from COVID-19 fall-out. Staff, if available at all, isn't the cream of the crop, and we're all getting by as best as possible with supply chains, money, and restrictions on everything tightening by the minute. I don't pretend to know what it takes to run a hotel the size of INK 48 even in the best of times, but would agree with others who have commented that the hospitality level doesn't meet the expectation of 4-stars, I'm sure many hotels are experiencing at this time. This is my second visit to Ink 48 in recent months and it’s my go to hotel! The staff are super friendly and always remember me. Anie and Ella are always there to greet me when I come in the evenings. The rooms are clean and spacious and the location is very close to my business needs at Hudson Yards.

I've stayed at this location twice, and it seems like there are various sizes of rooms that fit into the same category because twice I've stayed in what I believe was King Premier, and one room was much, much nicer than the other. I traveled pre-pandemic for work and enjoyed a really nice, spacious room with a sitting area that included seating by the window, a small dining table, bed, and a bathroom area. Traveling for a getaway with my husband, I booked the same hotel and room type and somehow ended up in a less pretty room half the size, with no seating area, and a small dining table with a single chair. It was also a LOT louder than the previous room, but that's probably because we were much closer to the window given the room size. Room service etc. was suspended due to the pandemic, which is completely understandable, and I feel for this industry that has been hit by difficulties, so that is an informational statement only, and not a judgment. I assume that any mini bar items were also impacted, as these were not included in the room, though there is a small fridge. My other callouts are just that the room seemed to be set up for one person. One chair, one robe, one of everything. We were informed by one of the men holding the doors in the lobby that we had an umbrella in our room, but unfortunately, ours was missing, as an example. I will say that housekeeping was fully operational, as we had actually not requested it, but came back to our room fully cleaned and reset. So, I guess my experience was mixed. One trip was fantastic, and I declared that I would never stay anywhere in NY. The second was a bit disappointing, but I'm hoping it was just a sign of covid related times. Read less

Arrived at the hotel 1/2 hr before check in time & was warmly greeted by both the receptionist & doorman, The check in process was quick & easy ….. My wife & I proceeded to our room ( Hudson Suite) And as soon as we opened the door we were blown away By the incredible views from the large wall to wall windows The room was immaculate & beautifully decorated, The bathroom had an incredible sunken tub & the shower had an array of luxurious shower heads ,,, After dinner we headed up to the Press Lounge for some late night drinks ,,, When we arrived back in our room we were very tired from a busy day , & immediately sunk into the very comfy King size bed ,,,, This Hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Manhattan And we would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends And will definitely be our new “favorite Hotel “ when visiting the city ,,,, Great job all around Ink Hotel !
