We stayed here as a family the end of June. Not impressed. We wanted a reasonable rate and close to Times Square. Don't fall this. No soaps/shampoo or hair blower in room. Pubic hair on toilet and nasty brush in trash can. There was an odor in the room that is indescribable. My son's room had a "dirty" chair, dirty toilet and dirty counter… Read more

Then today, I was totally appalled to see this hotel in the news housing the "homeless." And that the City of New York is placing the homeless in this "hotel" providing narcotics, marijuana and alcohol, all at the taxpayer's expense. This appalled me greatly. We probably stayed here surrounded by the homeless in this building! I was here 20 years ago and New York city has been trashed! Totally run by the drugs! Stay away from here! Read less

i had with one of your representatives (Mindy) , After placing a one night reservation hold on 1/16 /20 i was informed today that my group who was supposed to come to your Hotel was not able due to coronavirus, I was not aware that the reservation was still active as I myself was conflicted with the coronavirus and was Hospitalized for three weeks , All of the other Hotels that i did reserve that have been during this pandemic have notified me and did their due diligence to see if their reservations were still active,TRYP by Wyndham (Times Square South) did not,I received a phone call from both a representative from Shanghai and Mindy only today , As a Covid survivor I would think that at times like this both Wyndham and MINDY would take the initiative to research the situation and allow the clients to make adjustments during this terrible time,however Mindy (Wyndham's representative at Times Square South)has opted to take her customer service skills and put them aside as she offered no help or sympathy for both my situation and our Cities . I am writing to you and i will be sending this to all of the major newspapers in NYC, It has also been brought to my attention that theHotel has been closed for several weeks, i only placed a temporary hold which was supposed to be confirmed or cancelled automatically 30 days prior and if the property did not hear from the client they should of followed up as i'm sure she is not that busy as the Hotel has been closed,I am deeply disturbed as to how this has been handled and being in the Travel business I have never encountered such a poor approach of handling as i did with Mindy from TRYP by Wyndham , Read less

This hotel is under the Wyndym name however the customer service is not that of a corporate chain. Rooms were a very nice size. That's the best I can say. Sorry. No parking on the block being next to a police station.

We had to cancel our reservations for April 14-18, 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was not by our choice, but by state/city shutdown of all New York City. We had called the hotel directly to cancel our room and inquire about a refund, but by the time we were able to call, no one was left in the hotel (words directly spoken later by the hotel staff we spoke to) so we called Wyndham customer service direct and were able to cancel. On this initial call with Wyndam, we were told a refund would be issued. When 3 weeks went by, we called again and they instructed to call the hotel, so we did. We reached a person that said she was not currently in the hotel, as no one was at the time, and that when they were able to go back into the hotel our refund would be processed. Now another 4 weeks has gone by and we still have not received our refund. Just got off the phone with Nandita Ghosh - Reservation & Revenue Co-Ordinator - who was very rude during the entire call - and she stated that there would be no refunds issued for her hotel. I can understand if by any choice/circumstance of the customer they cancelled their reservation that no refund would be issued, but this was set forth by the government that we could not travel. Not allowing for a refund in the current climate is an abhorrent way to handle your customers. Read less
