We traveled in mid January with a family of 5 and stayed in a wonderful room. We arrived via cab but found the hotel very well located less than a block from Penn Station with a subway entrance just steps from the hotel lobby. As a plus there is a NYPD station right next to the hotel so we always felt very safe. We found our 1st floor room much larger than expected and the super high ceilings in one part of the room made it feel even larger, Our room had one very comfortable king bed in one section of the room and twin bunk beds and pull out sofa sleeper. All smaller beds were quite comfortable even the sofa sleeper. The bathroom was a good size and well equipped. Our room had 2 TV which even though quite close together were nice to keep the kids busy with their TV or playing the included Wii gaming system while we watched something else in the area with the king bed. (Although the room while big is small enough the with both TV on was loud) . Room was clean and well appointed with modern touches including wood floors and a thermostat in the room which kept the room comfortable. Because of the time of the year we also had a small portable radiator type space heater which was a god send when the weather turned very cold on 2 days. The bed liens were comfortable and had wonderful pillow selection. Only real complaint we had with the room that was built to accommodate 6 (and we had 5 for a week) there was no space to unpack. For the most part we were forced to live out of our suit cases leaving them open and shoved under the beds to keep them from underfoot. It was minor but a real pain no less. I would suggest the hotel think about removing the bench and coat hooks by the door and replace that area with a floor to ceiling dresser or some kind and then move the coat rack to the wall by the larger bed. Minor but for those saying here plan on space for luggage and clothing being at a premium. Lobby was smallish (as to be expected in NYC) but had everything needed including a super friendly and helpful front desk staff that quickly checked us in and help us with our every request. Special shout out the the bellman working days on Monday that took such great care of our and our many many bags. Make sure you visit the 15th floor open roof deck. It is a treat!!! Only two minor issues we had with housekeeping not restocking towels after room was cleaned (twice) but sure that was a over site and the staff quickly brought us a fresh supply. Also the drain in the tub was slow but again they hotel quickly respond to this and corrected this issue. When we return to NYC with our family we will stay here again without question! A great value for a family in a perfect location for your many NYC adventures. Read less

It’s like they came up with a cool concept, but didn’t have the funds for quality. The photos look nice, but it was really just mediocre. The location wasn’t great and the lobby just seemed unorganized & unwelcoming. I guess it’s fine for the price, but won’t be staying here again.

Family did a quick one day trip to NYC. Hotel was very nice and everyone at the hotel was very pleasant. It was in a pretty good location and very close to Penn Station. There is nothing to complain about.

Stayed with my family, 6 total in the premium family room, the 2 bathrooms are worth staying at this hotel. Great location to local attractions. Clean and friendly staff. Loved that we could drop off luggage, and wander the city before check in.
