426 rooms on 11 floors in 1 building with 4 lifts. All rooms with air-conditioning, flatscreen TV, WiFi access*, safe, bathrobes and hairdryer. Standard Queen Rooms are 191 sq ft with 1 queen-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Superior King Rooms are slightly larger at 242 sq ft with either a city or quiet courtyard view with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Superior Double Double Rooms are also 242 sq ft with either a city or quiet courtyard view with 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

The Empire Rooftop (open for breakfast, brunch and drinks). P.J Clarke's (open for brunch, lunch and dinner). Lobby bar. Rooftop plunge pool (open May to September). 24-hour fitness centre. Sorry for the delay in the review of my favorite NYC rest spot. I have been going to this establishment for several years and at every instant, I was always warmly received and felt like a valued patron. There may not be any room service, but with all the restaurants and coffee shops in the vicinity, who really needs it. The rooms are well-appointed and the service to refresh them on a daily basis is excellent. Check-in is rapid and friendly. The lobby is beautiful and there is a bar in the lobby and for the jet-setters, the is a wonderful rooftop lounge/bar with a spectacular view of Lincoln Center. It is overall cozy and truly comfortable. Excellent location by the way. Read less

Like the people in the most recent reviews, I have also been trying to get a refund for my stay that I couldn't complete because the hotel was closed. I booked a trip in March and have been going back and forth in emails for EIGHT MONTHS trying to get my refund. I booked a trip in March and have been going back and forth in emails for EIGHT MONTHS trying to get my refund. Each time, I am just told that my refund request has been sent to "upper management". At this point, I hesitate to believe any management exists at this property. It is just a run-around with no resolution. These people have probably gotten away with taking dozens, if not more, people's money... during a pandemic when people need their money the most. Horrible customer service, horrible policies, and most likely horrible people. I never leave bad reviews for places, but I felt like I should warn others. I have been more than patient. Again, it's been 8 months. I wish you luck if you book here. Read less

We received an email from the hotel reservation department in June cancelling our stay for July due to closing for COVID (understandable). The email stated we could keep the price of the stay as credit for a future stay or take a full refund. We opted for a refund. Since then, after countless emails over the past fifteen weeks the decision is still with "upper management" whoever this may be. Absolutely no update on timescales other than the above reply to each email. The hotel have cancelled the stay and offered the refund, so provide the refund. Absolutely horrendous customer service, wont be going in future out of principle. Looking online it appears there's plenty in the same boat as us. Read less

It has been months and countless emails that just tell me they are waiting on the approval from upper management. Literally, probably 15 emails back and forth asking for status updates and refunds. The hotel was not even open for the stay we had paid for in July!! I am very disappointed. Completely ridiculous that they will not refund our money when they weren’t even open. To me, that’s stealing... I have paid for a service and it was not given to me. Read less
