The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to both Times Square and Central park and is one of the reasons we chose this hotel. We booked the grand times square view room and I will never book other rooms. The view from the room is amazing and you can see both the Hudson river and Times Square. While the room is very small, the storage layout helps make the room size ok. Another reason we booked the hotel is because it has kitchenette in the room and laundry facilities in the hotel. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star is because before booking I tried to see if they charge for packages sent to the hotel for the guests but nowhere can I see any information. I looked all over their website but can’t find any information. I saw a post here in TA that they receive packages for free so I booked the hotel instead of Hilton for this sole reason. But then I get there and they charged me $10 per packages even for small packages. When I asked where is this fee stated in their website, they showed me something on their phone that does not even look like their current website. The guys was nice and we tried to meet in the middle so I did not press any further as I don’t want more stress. But I am sure it wasn’t in the website and they can’t show me where exactly in the website. Moreover most hotels charge for packages only when receive before the stay but packages received during the stay are free but in this hotel, even very small packages sent during the stay is charge $10. Had I known this I would not have booked this hotel because there are hilton hotels with similar facilities that do not charge for packages and those that do only charge for $2 per package. Read less

I just returned from another wonderful stay at the Residence Inn Manhattan Central Park. Up until my arrival, my trip was not going well. My plane got diverted overnight to Pittsburgh due to bad weather, so I could not attend the Broadway show and High Line walking tour that I had prepurchased. But, Mathura at the front desk immediately made me feel welcome and assigned me a room with a breathtaking view. Thanks also to Mirlinda at reception who was also very helpful. I'm still amazed at the convenience of this location. You can walk to many Broadway theaters and MOMA, there are three subway stations nearby providing access to several lines, and there are tons of restaurants from fast food to fine dining. I plan to stay here whenever I visit NYC. Read less

We made a reservation almost a year ago so I wasn't too happy with being on the 30th floor. I called the front desk and was moved to a room on the 50th floor which was better but still not what I reserved and requested. It was clean and housekeeping came every day. The location is great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The water never… Read more

For the price I'm not sure I would stay here again just because it was nothing special. We stayed in the village for much cheaper. Read less

The Residence Inn shares a lobby with the Courtyard at the same address. The lobby can get very busy at times, but the limited amount of staff handles it as best as they can. The Residence Inn shares a lobby with the Courtyard at the same address. The lobby can get very busy at times, but the limited amount of staff handles it as best as they can. This hotel is the tallest hotel in the United States, and no matter what floor you receive, you are likely to get a great city view. The Courtyard takes up the lower half of the building, while the Residence Inn occupies the upper floors. (65th Floor is the highest) I booked a Grand Times Square View room, which is a great corner room. The room # ends in "05". I had a partial view of Central Park. A great view of Times Square and toward the east, and I could also see the Hudson River. The room is a bit small, but has a very functional kitchenette, desk with chair, small but nice bathroom, and a chair with table near the floor to ceiling windows. I also like that the window opens, although it can be tricky to open sometimes. I had a few cleanliness issues with housekeeping, and attention to detail when cleaning the room was lacking. The public space on the 4th floor where Residence Inn guests have a "grab-n-go" breakfast, is where the Starbucks is located. This room was a big disappointment. I was there in the late afternoon/early evening, and the room still hadn't been cleaned from the breakfast rush. Every table was dirty and it was not a pleasant experience to try to find a clean spot to sit. The location is great, being right in between Central Park and Times Square. Subway access is very close by. Read less
