Mr. Charles Weed, I wanted to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to you and your entire team of staff for your warm and kind welcome during my stay at the Residence Inn on Broadway from July 5th to the 9th. I am a Marriott Gold Elite member and was initially visiting New York for a conference, but decided to extend my stay and stay a few extra days. While speaking to one of the gracious front desk agents, Mathura Nagarula, I shared that m that my mother had just passed away right before I came out to New York, and after an evening out on Saturday night, I returned to my room where I found a beautiful and heartfelt handwritten condolence note and a lovely plate of chocolate chip cookies, with the entire team’s condolences and well wishes. I was moved to tears and I just wanted to let you know just how special it was and how much it meant to me. Aa someone with many years of working in retail myself, I understand the importance of appreciating customers and allowing them to feel valued and validated. Please shower Mathura and your wonderful staff members with love and appreciation! I will also write a trip advisor review reflecting my satisfaction and gratitude. Big Thanks, Digby Leibovitz Read less

The front desk lady told me that there was only one bed in the room and the room did't have sofa either. She acknowledged that the request for two beds and three guests were on the reservation, but there was no room with double beds available at that time. She also offered to call all other Marriott hotels nearby and they were all booked at that time. She and the other receptionist told me that the only choice I have is to pay for another room for one night. Then they will switch me to a two beds room the next day. As a long-term member with Marriot, I would think they should not let me pay for the second room, especially they have made the mistake. This is a nice hotel, in a nice location. But the customer service was not good. Read less

We stayed here on the 50th floor. At first we were concerned about the noise from the lift, as our room was behind it but we soon got used to it and managed to sleep. It wasn’t in use all night. We had everything that we needed including a little kitchen area. The views were scarily amazing! We had a double bed and a single bed and a desk and chair. The room wasn’t massive but it was adequate for the 3 of us. The WiFi thankfully worked really well. The beds were high off the ground but comfortable and the air-con was a blessing, (if a little noisy but aren’t they all), as it was really hot when we visited. The breakfast was really good. Lots of choice and no limit. I’m really fussy about my coffee but the coffee was really nice. In England I always put coffee mate and caramel syrup in my coffee and they had little tubs of coffee mate liquid which I had never seen before. We filled up on breakfast, as we did lots of walking. I just want to say how great the staff were as our daughter was sick mid week. They brought us extra bedding, extra towels, extra toilet paper, changed the beds several times and washed the bathroom floor. Everything we asked for they provided us with even late at night. Thank you so much. It’s really hard when your child is ill in a hotel room but you helped us so much and made it easier to get through it. She soon recovered and we continued our holiday. Read less

There was a wide selection, and the dining area was very open. I will not choose to stay here when returning to Manhattan. Read less

Our room requests were followed and we had a great room on a high floor with sweeping views of the city and the Hudson River. The room was rather small but well equipped with lots of storage and amenities. Sad that they nickel and dimed with the $7 bottles of water in the room - really?? A complimentary bottle of water or no bottle of water at all would have been much better. The room and bathroom were clean. The bed was so comfortable with crisp linens and cozy pillows. With only a few rooms on each floor and so high up, it was completely quiet during our stay. Breakfast was plentiful with many healthful items (contrary to reports in other reviews!) It was crowded during breakfast, but not impossible to navigate, choose what we wanted and find a seat. All staff members were polite and friendly. We checked our bags after our stay until our departure time with no problems. Walk to Central Park was easy along with easy walks to subways and Times Square. This is an ideal location and a great place to stay! Read less
