We were greeted every morning very nicely by Claudia and Carlos at the breakfast room. I had requested gluten free bread and muffins and they went the extra mile to make sure I had it. Great Job! Hotel stay very good overall.

We stayed here for three nights, the best of the hotel, the views which are fantastic. These are the best in NYC. We stayed in the 52th floor. The room 5/10, nothing special. The breakfast 4/10, location 8/10. Near Central Park and Times Square.

First let me say that I stayed at the Residence Inn in Providence, RI the week before I changed my hotel to the Residence Inn NYC/Central Park....I was so impressed with the RI location that I thought it would be a fabulous experience in NYC also....WRONG! Think we had the WORST room in the hotel....I am a Bonvoy member, so I filled out their questionnaire as to what rooms etc. would be best.....AWAY from the ELEVATORS. Not only did it sound like a jet plane was flying overhead, but the room was no better than a motel room Bathroom door was completely scratched and had to put your fingers/hand into a black hole to close the door.. I went down to complain about the noise and they said they were completely booked??for the night, and check in with them in the a.m. for availability....next morning I was there bright and early with circles under my eyes.....no sleep...and they changed my room immediately....thought they were booked?????? Night number 2 was night and day....luxurious and lovely... Room #1 needs rehabbing it was NOT a Marriott experience....Why why why? Costs for these room exceed $450 according to hotels.com....EEEEEEK! Read less

The website claims this is the tallest hotel in the U.S. We would't know since we were in one of the lower floors, but since the Residence Inn is on the upper floors of a building that also houses a Courtyard, even one of the lower floors of the Residence Inn offered great city views. We were upgraded to a corner room that had a bit of a view of the Hudson River as well. Lovely. (See photos.) Our room was not large but it did have room for an easy chair near the window, a desk, some shelves, a small kitchenette area, microwave, minifridge, sink, dishwasher, cabinets with dishes, etc., and a fairly large bathroom. Due to the pandemic, breakfast is grab and go, but you can choose from various breads, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, some fruit, juice and coffee. The location is terrific for tourists. Close to several subway lines, an easy walk to Broadway theaters, Times Square, Central Park, MOMA, Carnegie Hall, and tons of restaurants and shops. Read less
