You’d start your mornings with gorgeous view of Manhattan high rises and ends with beautiful radiant lights coming up and seeing beautiful sunset. One of the added benefit is having free shuttle that’s takes you into Manhattan every hour with pick up as well. Which to put into perspective would cost $15-$20USD each way. You have bar downstairs plus within walking distance is all kinds of food...Indian, Malaysian, Thai, Chinese and my favourite SLICE PIZZA. Hotel staffs are super friendly, accommodating and genuinely care about your stay to make it pleasant. Be it the front desk lovely Nichole, Kenny, Maurice or the general manager Mary herself they all made my stay unforgettable and also very hard to say bye. I would highly recommend ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Read less

It was just like we were watching a movie. Our room was on the last/highest floor under the rooftop bar, which did not bothered us since we could not hear any noise from there. The employees were super nice, always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and also the food from the restaurant. There is a free shuttle from the hotel to Manhattan (just a 5-10 minutes drive). The meeting point in Manhattan for the shuttle is right in front of Bloomingdale's. (the driver is funny and very friendly). We will stay again at the hotel. After 4 travels to NYC, from now on this will be our "NYC home". Read less

We stayed here in Oct 2019 and had a pleasant experience. We saved about £500 on our trip by staying outside of Manhattan and were impressed by the free shuttle service. When we arrived, we were told the last shuttle returns from Manhattan at 16:30 which was disappointing when you're out and about in the city at night. We ended up spending about $100 between us to use the subway instead, as the shuttle was never timed well for us. I wish more people had included information on the area in their reviews, as I found it quite scary walking through industrial sites in the evening. The area is very quiet so it's quite intimidating, and the subway is about a 10min walk away. That said, the area is very well connected and it's easy getting the subway around New York. We paid $50 deposit on arrival which we were told we would get back on checkout. We didn't, and were told on checkout that we would receive it within 72 hours. It's been a week and we still haven't received it so I've now had to send messages and emails. The room was nice enough, fantastic views of Manhattan! Very quiet and comfortable. You don't get a lot of privacy as there isn't a lockable door on the bathroom, but the facilities are clean and modern. The shower is lovely and powerful and you're provided free shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and moisturiser. A/C was dodgy and wouldn't turn off. Occasionally it would fire up and blast air into the room which was difficult to make stop. One evening we returned to our room to find a stranger's lipgloss and half eaten packet of pringles, which we took down to reception the next morning. The pringles then appeared on our bill upon checkout. We complained and they were removed. Our trip was fantastic but we have both agreed that we would much rather spend a little extra money and stay in Manhattan next time as it's not worth the extra effort to get in and out. Read less

Even though I booked through a company that gave a large discount, the room was still $300+. This includes the additional $30 fee at check in. At that price, I expect a certain standard. The elevators were dirty and took forever to come. The lock to the room only functioned every 8th attempt at opening it. The room was small and lackluster,… Read more

Our bed was basically on the floor, bathroom sink in the room. The hallways were FREEZING. When checking out, the lobby had inappropriate music playing. Oh and also, no valet service. My husband and I lived in Queens for 8 years, never needing to stay in this hotel. We recently moved away and needed to come back for a wedding at The Ravel. They were booked and Hotel Z advertises itself to be an upscale boutique hotel. I thought it’d be worth the money. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Read less

When I first walked in my room and took off my shoes, I immediately stepped on something sticky. It appeared to be a sugar coated nut of some sort. There plastic pieces and other general filth on the floor. When the AC would turn off the room had a distinct urine smell from a dog or some other animal that had been in the room (hopefully from an animal!). The shower had visible mildew between all the tile. The hotel also lacks room service of any kind. A colleague of mine also stayed in the hotel for two nights and said his room was equally as filthy. We would have changed hotels had we had more time. DEFINITELY AVOID. Read less
